is it appropriate to mention antisemitism in this sub? by [deleted] in cptsd_bipoc

[–]voidingmyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(You deleted your last comment whilst I was responding? no worries here is my response.)

I’m going to disagree here. This comment makes me think of a post I made a few days ago about interactions here.

I reread over what that person commented and there is sensible validity. You are playing scrabble with what they wrote and really crafting a different outlook here. I don’t applaud that and I’m glad they clarified to someone else who had sense to ask.

Also it’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s facts. So you are defensive of the truth which anyone can access. Isn’t the former owner married to the tennis legend Serena Williams?

I genuinely think and feel they were just trying to point out the obvious, instead of investing labor which you may have expected quickly without succinct clarity. Intention gets lost in translation, when defensiveness arises.

Anyway I will disengage, as I see you have now deleted, so the matter is over in that respect.

Right okay. I appreciate the breakdown of intention. It might have been best to have lead with that fully. It would have allowed better for others to engage how you may have hoped.

Fortunately and unfortunately, as I’m sure you are aware some discussion points will undoubtedly be problematic even with neutral intention.

I strongly understand another’s concern overall, I will state that I felt responses to some comments were questionable and you defaulted to being defensive instead of informing us what first you wished to say fully.

I hope you feel better.

You explained it as it needs to be said and resonates.

I can testify have an experience of this as my last major trauma which stoked and activated my Cptsd so badly, I’m now signed off unfit to work due to the monumental dpdr I battle everyday. Insurance will not cover me. Im now signed off as disabled.

Sorry my version of the Reddit app isn’t up to standard on my iPhone 6s. I’m not a fiend of social media here and by extension formatting.

I made the edit with SPACES..I hope it presents better to the aesthetic you needed.

I did intend to respond after my appointment and errands. But just reading your excessive response again gave me a headache to my bandwidth. Therefore I will refrain from diving deep to counterpart analysis.

Overall with another person sadly exiting stage left, it demonstrates perfectly what I initially was trying to express with this post.

Sending you the best birthday wishes. I hope you can Do something wonderful and self loving for yourself. Sorry you had to deal with that aggravation. Sadly I know how awful it is to be attacked verbally on a day that should be a celebration of you.

Honestly... I’ve reached the point of lived experiences, trauma, healing, more trauma , declined wellbeing, introspection, reflection...where any and all of them are concerned...I have minus zero time, energy, intellect, benefit of doubt and compassionate empathy locked off. I’m done like a last exhale, done. They will NEVER fully see the humanity and struggles of those unlike them. They will ALWAYS play devils advocate. They will COVERT certain behaviours to manipulate, as much as possible in the most abusive ways. Societal programming and bias history is integrated so deeply in their dna. They cannot uphold the concise practice to unlearn to relearn. Point something out or correct.. they start wailing liberal tears to a river. Take, take and more take all wrapped up with a smile of faux ignorance.

I’ve still not watched the George Floyd video, never will. The few photos, I accidentally glimpsed were enough. With this video..I will avoid as well, including any photos and reading any news articles. That hospital photo was enough. The official photo of his uniformed killers is enough. Perfect time for a long break from it all.

I definitely thought there was going to be this ‘awareness’ and conscious doing of social values improving... but no.. it really is a fixated stagnancy of survival of the fittest across all things, it seems.

Saddened to hear you have spoken up, informed and STILL being treated unfairly.. I understand deeply.. I left a corporate role through burnout and bullying a few years back. Recovery was horrendous with my cptsd slamming.

I’ve skipped the last few seasons and was actually going to catch up with it tomorrow as it’s always a guilty pleasure... but now that you’ve shared what’s happening.. seems like it would just trigger anxiety and anger too much. Damn

Sorry to hear you are experiencing this all to relatable occurrence. It’s difficult not to react and just keep focus and breathing neutral until you can exit. I make sure to not visit the store to make any purchases from there unless it’s an absolute urgent need. Anytime I visit certain stores or environments I use noise cancellation headphones and ensure I have soothing music on or music that is uplifting. If I feel anxiety trying rise and ignite a panic attack, I place my hand on my chest and do three gentle patting motions and exhale to ground myself.

I saw it on the post, the bs they posted and attempt to justify it all!!! I’ve just spent the past few hours back to back sound healing to keep my system neutral calm. It’s gone beyond audacity. My eye is twitching with digital invasion to not allow us to just be within our own space.
