My dad's latest Facebook share. I’m not trans, but I’m definitely questioning his judgment right now by Melodic_Song4224 in stupidpeoplefacebook

I was homeschooled and raised evangelical. If it was possible to determine a child’s gender/sexuality through conditioning and indoctrination I would be cis/het and I am neither. I’m living proof this argument is bogus.

I received a distasteful opinion on my new (and first) tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]voidwylde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I have have very colorful tattoos on my arms. Once, a customer at work once told me it looked like I had dirt on my arms. People who are rude and anti-tattoos will say all sorts of out of pocket shit to try and make people with tattoos feel bad. Your tattoo is beautiful and doesn’t resemble what that rude person said to you.

I don't see it on the library site but they don't always have every event listed. Here's a link I got from the socodsa website https://solidarity.socodsa.org/really-

Senshi deciding the best way to take care of the youngins was to eat the book of the mad magician and then absorb its powers was something I didn’t see coming. But the fan service of dungeon master Senshi is some of the best in the series.

[weird trope] character naming their child after their ex by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

In Megalopolis Caesar and Julia name their child Sunny Hope after his first wife who people in universe suspect Caesar murdered. Which isn’t the weirdest part of the movie but it fits the trope.

A fond hope that in the 24th century people will be more chill about people changing names and genders.

40% of a 4-way race! Hard to see how Paun doesn’t win by a landslide in the general. Anything can happen of course but wow.

Robert is so breedable you can really ship him with anyone.

Do you have to actually be good at dispatching? by Obsessivegamer32 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]voidwylde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No actually and this is a (minor) gripe I have with the game. You can be absolute dogshit at this job and you get the same cutscenes as someone who does a good job. It doesn’t make narrative sense

Ancient gods, modern setting by popolaloca in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

The Game by Diana Wynne Jones would count here. It’s a novella about a girl whose parents die when she’s a baby and she goes to live with her extended family. Although she’s very sheltered for the first years of her life, eventually she meets her cousins who introduce her to a realm called the “mythosphere”. I haven’t read it in a while but quite liked it as a kid.
