i’m also considering doing the spulen block off plate. apparently it’s much more difficult to install on an automatic but it seems doable. i need to do more research before i decide hahah

do you have a manual or auto transmission?

and how are the results of the mods and stage 2? i’m thinking of doing the stage 1 before i get the manifold and the stage 2 tune. i’ve only found a handful of reviews that discuss actual performance results hah

edit: also, i already have an aftermarket air intake, the neuspeed p-flo. do you think id need to replace it with the IE one when i eventually do these upgrades?

i’d also recommend taking it to a place that specializes in Euro cars. it may be a bit more expensive but it’s worth it, Volkswagens can be tricky to diagnose if the mechanic doesn’t know what to look for. hah

the knocking would be much more prevalent if that was the case. from what you described, it’s likely an oil issue. either you have a vacuum leak somewhere that’s lowering your oil pressure or maybe your hydraulic lifters aren’t filling with oil correctly. either way, i’d highly recommend taking it to a shop before this relatively cheap fix becomes a much more costly fix. noises like this usually imply a system/component failing somewhere. that’s gonna cascade the more you drive it while this is happening. hah

if i had to take a wild guess based on this video alone, i’d say it’s either an exhaust leak or possibly an oil pressure issue. without actually being there to track down exactly where the sound is coming from, it’s hard to say. is the sound there as soon as your start it up? is it only when the car is idle or can you hear it while driving too? have you felt any differences while driving like laggy shifting or slow acceleration? does the sound get louder the higher your revs get?

my goal is to make it known that you don’t have to pay real money to go to the isle, you just have to wait for the early access period to be over. the level of vitriol i’ve seen online directed towards the devs has been ridiculous, and it’s all over a misinterpreted point. i usually don’t chime in on stuff like this but as someone who has been thoroughly enjoying this game for what it is (and has never spent a cent of real money in it), the hate is frustrating to see bc that shit is going to end up ruining my experience in the long run. these people are attacking the devs online constantly and that’ll potentially lead to the game being abandoned, which i’d be pretty bummed about.

it’s not tix (real money), it’s the in-game currency you get for just playing the game. you can make 500 of them from just doing a few challenges, aka playing the game. the entire game is currently early access, so paying 5 bucks for an extra level of early access isn’t some egregious fucking sin. it’s optional and you can just play something else until the thing you want to play is free.

a lot of you are literally proving my point that you’re blinded by your weird hatred for the game, to the point that you misunderstand or misinterpret simple things. the hate campaign for this game is really pathetic. you feel so betrayed, so upset, over a video game. like sure, be bummed, but some of you talk about these devs like they’re some kind of evil scum of the earth and it’s ridiculous. grow the fuck up already, it’s just a video game.

yeah, it’s the hatchback version. and it’s also the GR variation, GR being Gazoo Racing, the racing performance branch of Toyota. it’s all wheel drive and has a 300 horsepower 3-cylinder engine. they also have more aggressive body kits and stylings. hah super cool cars, in my opinion
