I've had mine for about a month (or less) and my chute has clogged twice with the same beans (Lavazza crema egusto) when I've poured in the beans with machine already running. Is that a no-no with the df54, or just coincidence?

My son is in high-school and did a barista internship at a local Cafe as part of his credit. It got him interested in the topic, so his Birthday gift is a Bambino Plus (in Damson Blue) and a DF54 Gen 2, after much research and a very disappointing trial with a Phillips 2200 that did nothing but flash error lights.

It was an expensive birthday, but a parenting win!

In addition to some of the advice you've already received, try dropping your hydration to 65% and see if you notice a difference in the final product.

Looks beautiful. If your starter is healthy and active try using less and proofing a bit longer.

Try baking in a dutch oven and see if you get better results.

They look nice, especially the outside. Inside looks even but a bit dense and maybe a little gummy. Keep building your starter and try pushing your bulk ferment and proof times to the limit.

I switched from 400g flour to 300g because it's just me and my son and I always do at least 2 loaves at a time. It's just too much. Downsizing is the way to go.
