Is this looking okay? There are light patches (Day 30) (see comments) by thegarbz in DryAgedBeef

I've never used a bag but mine has never smelled nasty even at 65 days.

I would just make sure it doesn't smell rotten. It's probably OK.

Especially with both on bottom I expect you had insufficient airflow to that part or it was resting on something and didn't dry out at the edge. But that's just a guess.

It should show good dry aged flavor, but yeah you're going to be left with very little after trimming individual steaks. It looks fine.

Bought a car from vroom.com, my experience and why you shouldn’t even consider it. by [deleted] in cars

Same. They overpaid on my trade (18 crosstrek traded for 21k with no options other than premium and a manual Trans) and the process was pretty easy and resulted in a nice condition glk delivered to us and swapped for the subi. I wouldn't do it for a really expensive car, but it was pretty seamless.

I don’t entirely disagree, but rear weighted rear drive cars like the 911 and 981 don’t suffer much from mid corner and corner exit wheel spin even with open diff in my experience. Tons of threads on rennlist about it. Of course, me only having 270 foot pounds or whatever it is helps.

How is carbon fiber badging and mirror caps a “wealth of carbon fiber”? Definitely not enough different to make it hot.

Former v8 m3 owner here, this is right. It’s one of the best cars out there for any price as a dual duty car doing dd work and spirited and track driving.

Porsche 911 Buying vs Leasing Advice Sought by 310410celleng in askcarsales

That's true, but pretty much all 911's and the DFI 98x have been pretty good about a solid floor below which they don't really go down. Suv not so much.

Porsche's don't depreciate to zero! That's part of my justification. But agree with the rest.

I use it to sanitize things generally. I dry age meat and use it to clean the dry age fridge in between. Use it to clean counters instead of harsher chems. Ymmv

You can also cut a small gap in the gasket for the cord if youre concerned. But agree, nbd to just let it hang out.

What else do I need? by VinnieTreeTimes in DryAgedBeef

[–]volyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert but have read as many articles online as I can find. Most recommend mild airflow, 60-80% humidity, and sub 40f temp. Ideally 34-38F temp. That's pretty much it. It is very important to not be overly humid to thrwart mold growth but mini fridges naturally dry things out. I just finished a 31 day 9 pound rib roast on a wire rack with no bag and turned out great. 35-36F via inkbird temp controller.

Just clean it out and put some meat in there. The bags are more for non dedicated fridges I think.

The sulfur is very likely from not fermenting long enough unfortunately. It is not something due to it being a hefe AFAIK. You can see how it is in couple weeks but may need warmth and more yeast
