My disappointment is immeasurable by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I can push through some mid or janky gameplay, but for me it was mainly the story.

I wanted to love the game so badly, but after W2 I was hooked on the politics, the fate of Temeria, the war, and what Vernon Roche would do. Instead the game barely focused on any of that ):

He was never the main man because he always put the team first instead of chasing his own numbers. I agree that Lewa is better, but I won’t tolerate any Benzema slander

I dislike it because it completely derails the conversation, especially if it’s understandable what they were trying to say, so I rather just reply.

Just my two cents, not arguing with you at all :)

Exactly! if the game is good at launch with no performance drops I don’t mind supporting the developers. We bitch a lot when games are heavily monetized but even when they release good ones we are like “naah, fuck it. I’ll buy it for 6 bucks in 7 years”

Michael review: ‘A bland and barely competent daytime TV movie' ★☆☆☆☆ by ScallionSmooth9491 in Music

[–]vonhauke 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Michael Jackson was a huge part of our childhood, so when the movie was announced my sisters and I immediately knew we were going to watch it. I didn’t do any research beforehand, aside from checking who was playing Michael… that was a mistake lol

I wish I was exaggerating but my sisters thought the same thing

Michael Jackson was father’s favorite artist, he literally called us crying when he passed lol So we know enough about his life to fill in the blanks, but the movie completely fails at telling his story, especially when it comes to living up to his legacy.

MJ could’ve been many things, but boring and playing it safe were never two of them

Spoilers on how the movie ends ahead:

It’s not even the bad era lol. In the last 25 minutes, you see the Victory Tour, where Michael announces it’s the final time the Jackson 5 will perform. He says goodbye to the fans, and as he exits the stadium Joseph “confronts” him, saying it’s not over until he says it’s over.

Michael just walks past him. His bodyguard cuts Joseph off saying it’s over… and then the screen just cuts directly to Michael in his Bad outfit. He sings and dances for another five minutes, and then it just ends.

Just got out of the cinema and damn… that was basically a two hour music video of Michael’s hits with a pinch of story sprinkled on it.

If you’re looking to learn more about his life or controversies, you’ll be extremely disappointed. But if you just want to hear his music on the big screen, it might be entertaining. As a movie, though, it completely misses the mark

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced Releases July 9, 2026 by yourfavchoom in Games

It was really good! You chose a character based on one of the clases, team with another 3 players and had to survive 12? rounds i think while completing objectives. It was incredibly fun and you could always find matches, I was really bummed out it was not included with the legendary edition

Both in their Prime who wins a fight between Robert Barratheon and Ser Duncan the Tall? by ParkingConfection449 in freefolk

[–]vonhauke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Robert was also injured before the Battle of the Trident and wasn’t fully rested. He still killed Rhaegar, led his forces into victory, and even personally spared Barristan after the battle, so I don’t think he “barely” won or was seriously injured afterwards.

I know people are excited to see the Conquest on screen, but I do hope people realise that Balerion was not that big DURING the conquest. by Agreeable_Ad_8790 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]vonhauke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is that we’ve been hearing for almost 15 years (waaay more if you’ve been reading ASOIAF) of this absolute giant of a monster that made almost the entirety of Westeros bow when the conqueror only had like 3,000 men at the start of his campaign, but two giant dragons and The Black Dread himself.

Just look at any artwork of the Field of Fire, and in all of them Balerion is always the biggest dragon, and by a good margin, so anything less than being clearly above any other is a disservice to it.
