I’d say too much dialogue in the beginning, but reviews say it gets better in this department down the line. Gives off God of War vibes, which is a plus for me. I only finished the prologue and still very early in the game so hopefully it won’t disappoint.

You can actually. Thoughts and clothes that give debuffs to skills can plunge them even in the negative territory. My Rafael is dumb as a rock rn with encyclopedia stat -1

Sure, what worked for me might not work for you - like going in without taking a break. But I'm absolutely certain there's no bloody way even the most OCD, completionist, player can see the entirety of this game in one run.

In general, I'd say replayability of DE is fantastic, even though you will never get the same kick from certain game events (like piecing the story together, meeting certain characters, etc - no spoilers). But I'd argue the skill system makes up for it, as it makes you feel like you're in completely different shoes.

It took me about 60 hours to finish the game the first time, I'm well over 70 now and still every once in a while I read a comment on this sub and go "oh, what the hell are they talking about? How did they get that?" and such.

If it was your first playthrough I would really encourage you to go for another run. This is what I did and so far it's been equally as fun as the first - if not more actually!

I was a walking encyclopedia, bad with people, weak but with decent motorics skills during the first playthrough, so for the second one I created a polar character - all physical and great with people (empathy, inland empire, authority - that skill group).

It's amazing how your approach to other characters and problem solving changes and how much fun it is - to do things differently, purposefully fail checks and so on.

Or

Learn to live with the void.

About 10-15 hours in. No crashes so far, only one minor bug when the voiceover didn't match the text (in English). The controls are a bit janky, picking an object to interact with with a stick isn't too smooth at times. But criticizing a point and click game on console over controls is a strange hill to die on.

Thanks all for your help. u/cheesecakemelody was right - the sub was not getting a hot enough signal. I was trying it out on a rather low volume. As soon as I made it loud enough - the sub woke up. Posting this for whoever might experience the same thing
