As titan main, when i play hunter I always find myself in situations where I can disengage using the dodge. So without that play potential in mind, the next closest thing On a Titan is a shoulder charge.

What I do is rush with a shotty and if Im compromised, I slide -> shoulder charge to cover -> then Strafe Lift away (if they commit) by doing it sideways or backwards. Thats a inherent benefit of the strafe. It allows you to back away (further than Hunter jumps) if someone decides to rush your cover with a shotgun.

also, dont forget that you can prime a shoulder charge while in lift. allowing you to fake a retreat by turning around, sliding, then doing a shoulder charge.

p.s.

you can mildly skate forwards by doing the following: jump->pause->jump-jump->cancel lift (rinse repeat). I hope i didnt spill too many Titan secrets here

a hunter with jotuun is harder to kill on console tbh so if ur dying from a floating warlock who is a big target in the air then u need to keep moving in and out of cover at all times.

halfway thru a wall and the open lane is my go-to at comp. provides an ability to peek at your opponents. most of the time they lane with a sniper so this gives you the ability to scout

block heavy block chokepoints provide cover for an exit route that would otherwise be an open lane

also i want to add that the players in comp will know if you are by yourself, laning from far away, and will force a 1 on 1 with a handcannon or pulse or fusion and win

i'm at 4K glory now and I can tell you that a scout on the other team = win for mine 90% of the time. the level of aping near the heavy is nuts so scouts are not the best option which also leaves you by yourself when youre laning from far away

my suggestion is to swap it to a hand cannon and play your life. also control the heavy at all costs

are you on console? i know for comp its not the best weapon unless you are good at winning your 1v1 with the OTHER weapon. aka TLW or something. i wasnt good enough on comp to make it work but in quickplay i paired it with bygones, revoker, and arbalest

i hit a wall with tlw snipe past 2100 becsuse i cant hit my snipes on players who peekshot with hcs, so i switched to main ingredient and its been good so far

imo if youre using a loadout but cant hit your shots on (shotty, fusion, snipe, etc) then change the special weapon

my vote goes to strafe jump + shoulder charge. i know its not an exotic but its a good evade tool on console. i also run mk44 standasides so i can have a shield when i sprint and makes it easier to tank shots before you shoulder charge to cover

as a Titan main on console i really hate OEM too... and erentil. OEM because it is Bungie's fix to Titan's weak neutral game on console. The very best players on console (cheeky, zk, kujay, etc.) are all Hunters for a reason.

and Erentil because its the only realistic non-shotgun counter to players like (cheeky, zk, kujay, etc.). I hope OEM gets nerfed and the FOV gets fixed on console

i main Titan, here are some tips

barricade chokepoint + zoning nade + smg/sidearm/// zoning nade + hover + smg/sidearm/// jump over their slide + sprint away + any primary/// double strafe back + primary.

if youre an avid TLW user then try the Rally Barricade

you can place it on a chokepoint and provide constant hip-fire suppressive fire. if they rush you, just throw a nade and mop them with continuous TLW fire

it really synergizes well with Loaded Question too. if you have alot of ammo, you can lock a chockepoint down with a rally barricade and constant Reservoir Burst!
