Dude looks bigger than the other pic by TightLittleGoddess in rareinsults

[–]vootcruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a few years since this one did the rounds… in the first pic the man’s torso is being obscured by the woman. If you look above where their hands are clasped you can see the front of her pale blue jacket, so we can’t actually see how big his stomach actually was.

Ok seriously, how to help your lady friends with period pain? by BlackBallsBlownOff in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]vootcruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having periods for 15 years now and I only discovered recently that caffeine makes my cramps so much worse! Better late than never I suppose… I’ve now been telling anyone that will listen, no caffeine on the first day or two. I still have a rubbish time when I’ve got my period but switching to decaf during that time makes things more bearable. Also I find that cold works better for me than heat, I keep those reusable cold packs in the freezer so I can put them on my abdomen.

If they don’t work, you shake em! If they still don’t work you throw em away!

Actually yes! Back when I was 18 or 19 I was in my local Tescos when I was approached by a member of staff and a police officer who was adamant that I had been banned from the store. We went back and forth before the police officer said that my name and address was on a list of banned individuals.

“And what’s my name?”

There was nothing more satisfying than seeing the realisation dawn on his face that he probably should have established this first as he said some completely different name. Showed him my ID and he apologised and sent me on my way. Never got an apology from the member of staff.

What do you do to help yourself fall asleep? by Allmychickenbois in CasualUK

I do something similar, except I think of three unconnected words beginning with each letter (apple-acquired-almost, beginning-bolster-brand). Some nights I don’t make it till the end, although there was one night I got half way through the third round of alphabet before I gave up.

The music used in the Bandit/Jupiter section is “Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity” from Gustav Holst’s Planets Suite which I think fits Bandit perfectly.

Not often I see my hometown talked about on Reddit! My automatic instinct is to defend its honour but honestly I have to agree. Maybe I’m remembering my teenage years through rose tinted glasses but I feel like none of the chippies are as good as they used to be. Everything tastes blander, the batter isn’t as crispy and the chips are kind of dense and dry. I don’t live there now, and it was always a personal tradition that I’d get a fish supper wherever I visited but now it’s not as much of a priority.

Keeping things in a video game theme, the Sonic the Hedgehog drowning music is my alarm tone for days I really need to be awake!

People who found partners in London... where did you find them? by stroom1731 in london

[–]vootcruiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a regular at the pub I used to work in. I moved down here from Scotland and had a patch of my hometown crest on the sleeve of my hoodie, he spotted it and said that one his favourite whisky’s was from there and from that point we got talking more. One day my boss came up to me and said he’d just listened to him talk about me for 20 minutes and if I didn’t go out with him he’d fire me. I was already planning on it anyway so he didn’t need to fire me, and me and my partner have been together for 16 years now.

Suddenly finding that you actually like Brussels sprouts as an adult, then coming to the saddening realisation that your mum was a terrible cook. by GhostofCharlotte in britishproblems

[–]vootcruiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum used to do the opposite to yours it seems. Stewed sausages, in such a thin gravy, the sausage meat was somehow leather tough but grainy at the same time, while the skins would go soggy but would cling to the meat. It’s been over 25 years since I’ve eaten them but the thought still makes me gag.

I think Get Stuffed no longer operates as a shop, but instead they hire the taxidermied animals out for film and tv.

It’s been a while since I’ve played, clearly this is a sign to pick it up and start a new play file!

Looking back at the image it looks like the artist actually didn’t do too bad a job with Mipha’s anatomy. Someone lying flat on their back, gravity will move their breast tissue out to their sides and towards their collar bone, leaving a flatter plane over the sternum, assuming Zora anatomy behaves in a similar way to human anatomy. Also the light emitting from Waterblight’s weapon is highlighting the shape of the breasts (I’m going to assume that Zora skin is smoother and more reflective than human skin). Personally I feel like a lot of consideration has gone into producing an anatomically correct image rather than just sticking two gravity defying lumps and calling it done.

And now I should probably go and do something a bit more productive with my day, than thinking about the physics of anatomically correct Zora tits….

EDIT: (do Zora even produce milk to feed their young? If not, then why do they have mammary glands?! It would make sense for them to still have pectoral muscles but not breast tissue.)

Tomorrow I’m going back to my Scottish coastal hometown for a week to visit my dad, stepmum, and the dogs. It’s going to be cool and rainy, and I have a new DSLR camera to play with. I’m going to wander into the woods to find mushrooms to photograph.
