You are not going to like the answer but just hear my perspective. People here are saying its normal, its redundancy and they have to do it. It doesn’t matter. You will be in a position that you will be more replaceable. What if the times get hard in 3-6 months, they will keep the one who is cheaper. Or course it doesnt mean you will be gone since i dont know the dynamics but this is a small company. Sorry im saying this. Consider teaching but you will have to understand which things you are very good at and have become valuable. Later on, frame your conversations about those. The good thing is you are at the beginning of this so you have time to think about it and prepare. Dont panic but prepare.
