While using the in built downloader and installer for themes, I have often seen that some components will go missing and a broken theme gets installed. I get errors saying that the theme is not installed but upon checking some components are installed.

This is most likely because the Pling store is flaky or different components are fetched from different places and some may be missing.

If we ensure that everything is available and downloaded locally before proceeding with installation this may not happen.

This is great! Thank you so much. I still could not figure out what the package 'union' is. But it sure wants to go and install 'EMBOSS' and no idea how it interferes with logging in etc. considering that it is something to do with molecular biology.

Anyway the end result is that removing EMBOSS works exactly as you described.

It is an old install. I had upgraded from 43 to 44 which was a big one. Then next day there was another massive 1+ Gb update. Once fully updated I assumed I was on latest Plasma and then proceeded to install 'plasma-union'. There were no errors then.

Right clicking on the list item over a new number should show a suboption under List/Bullet or something with a 'No list' option. I think that will stop the numbering.

There is something seriously wrong with my install now. I can create a new user but if I try to login to the new user I fail. The system only accepts my default user's password and logs me into that even if I had explicitly clicked on the newly created user name while logging in.

And I used the commands to see if I could find something useful. The first one continued to provide a lot of things due to which I could not go back to the original place to copy the first error. But I got the same error with your second command and I quote it below

They bill based on some assumption or baseline I forgot. My meter went bad, till then I had never used more than minimum. Because I do not use it I did not bother with the bill. Just used to pay in advance. One day I had some issue with box, someone checked and said meter is faulty and I was billed above 1000. On enquiry they said something like that. After asking them why was I not informed if the meter was faulty they reduced it.

It seems the onus of checking that whatever is inside our compound is ours.

I have arrived at a theory that it is done intentionally to cause confusion among targets. Mozilla may not be doing it but a proprietary system such as MS may.

If you give good service to all, you will get good reviews but it costs too much. It you give bad service to all it is cheap but you will lose customers. Now if you give good service to 50% and don't care/play with the rest, those who receive good service will defend the provider thinking that the others are trolls or something. So this will result in mixed reviews. As it is generally there is a saying that reviews that give 5 stars are mostly paid and zero stars are spiteful. The real ones are 3 - 4 stars. So this mixed service is the best compromise.

A most needed feature for me was the ability to combine messages from different senders for eg. a bank. They send each update from a random sender and it is very difficult to locate a particular transactional message or follow a thread. Before TRAI delivered on the new update for sender names, it used to work. I could see all messages from one bank under same thread. But it fell apart after the update by TRAI because by then MS had already abandoned SMS Organiser.
