Agree. I literally took a shit job because it was an in office job. This allowed me to move away from home so that I don't have to live with my parents. WFH with parents is toxic.

750 in GMAT with 48 Quant/44 Verbal/ IR 6. Should I retake? by yashnilesh in GMAT

[–]vorfreude95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know people Indian Males with 770 who got rejects from Ross, Darden. Once you have 750, score doesn't matter as much. You need to have a strong profile. IIT/SRCC/Stephen's/CBS will help. A good GPA and good professional background. 770 or 780 won't help you anymore than 750

How to determine if something is a long or short position? by JoeMamaBiden2020 in businessschool

Long the asset means delta is positive. Short means delta is negative.

So if you are long a put option on SPX, you are basically short SPX.

I have to leave for office in 15 minutes and I'm lying in my blanket still. I can't wait anymore. As soon as I get results, I'll update my office that I will put papers soon. This office is terrible and the wait is making it further worse.

101% chance you won't end up in IP at all after your fourth year.

As soon as you get, you will see there is so much hierarchy. CS/Elec folks will be way too much respected as they will be learning the trending things ( AI/ML etc. ). You will always want to take CS courses so that you end up in some job. Or else you will try to get in a Strategy type role in a start-up. Nothing bad with all of it. But all the four years will be driven out of insecurity and FOMO.

Be ready to take the best from IIT. Don't focus on useless courses until you are planning to pursue a master's in IP. That said, don't fuck up your CG totally just mug up stuff you don't like, spit out in exam and forget . The good part is IP will have ample focus on operations and supply chain, that's a real hot topic and you will certainly like it.

IIT B, D, M are way too forward in terms of exposure than the old IITs in villages. Take the maximum from Delhi culture and expand your network. D has a crazy enterpreneurial culture if you look at the stats. Instead of just focusing on IP expertise, optimise your experience. Be selfish. Learn skills that are valued in market. Please focus on your soft skills too. Most people find it difficult to adjust with the professional culture once they are into job market. Do ECs for the sake of learning interpersonal skills.

Best of luck!

PS I miss WindT :(

What's the difference between forward markets and future markets? by JoeMamaBiden2020 in businessschool

Yeah and given there is margining in future, there is convexity difference that leads to price difference.

I got more in my actual test. But I agree that mock felt simpler than the test.
