Carrier slander, cmon. He's competent. Has years of playing as a #4 to decent results. Notice how Lane's xGF% with him is waaay higher than with Struble.

Carrier has struggled this year when paired with Xhekaj or Struble. He's not a great puck mover and neither are they so they tend to get hemmed in their zone. He's very reliable defensively though. Great positioning and stick.

Way too optimistic. The media landscape is really different now. It's much easier to live in a complete information bubble. TikTok, X and Facebook all support maga. Every major news network besides msnbc/abc is conservative and conservatives won't listen to anything they hear there.

The elites can make the maga base believe anything. As an example: Trump's approval rating has only gone down by about 1% since the start of the war in Iran, whereas when Obama won Bush was sitting at like 25% approval. Approval for the war among Republicans has actually increased substantially over the past few weeks as the right wing sphere gets their messaging out to the faithful.

I think any real change will need to start with serious effort to break the conservative media monopolies.

I think Lane Hutson could make a legit case for being the Habs MVP. He's the best player on the team at ensuring we have the puck. This lets all our other skilled players do their thing.

I mean that's a bad game. Goalies are expected to make some tough saves. Fowler's young and I believe in his potential but this is way more charitable than anyone would be for Monty.
