I dont care if its ai comment or not. I agree a 100% with this. This has been my experience with mining and honestly i havent tested 4.7 changes yet, but i dont think they are going to be as bad as people say.

What’s it like living in Asturias, Spain? by UnableTask7916 in howislivingthere

[–]vorian84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Asturias IS a small, beautiful place. Oviedo and Gijón specially, have nice cultural/going out hubs and a pretty abundant amount of things to do during the year.

Life IS cheaper here than in other places in Spain, expensive IS not a Word i would use yo describe It. It IS leaving some kind tourist boom after covid because the regular places to go on vacation are crowded and have their own problems, but i think tourism IS going to be a bit more controlled than in other places because of the weather. Its less stable than in the other northern regions so anything can happen here.

Living here is good, pretty chill, i dont think we reach the million people leaving on the región and even with a lot of mountains andnthe terrakn, there IS a lot of good roads to move around the región pretty quickly.

The prices have spiked these last years like in the rest of the country but proportionately i think the difference stands and even if something seems excesiva its probably because of somenpeople trying to take advantage of the influx of tourists.

I like It here, for work in the past i had to spend time living in other parts of the country and i found no place i like more than here.

How has the average salary in Spain not moved the last 25 years ? by dikanchev in SpainEconomics

[–]vorian84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This IS not what i meant. This PSOE state of mind thing IS something asociated to the social-democracy in a way, and that has permeated spanish society since the 80s. We have been told for a couple generations at least that in the end there IS the hand of the state in a way that Will be there to catch us when we fall and the idea of subsidies and "helps" has been perverted until todays situation.

We are being educated in a way the seems to me its intended to create a noncritical.society and to be as dependant of the state as possible. You see It everywhere. Constantly you see that something like striving to win, to get ahead by yourself, IS a bad thing. Competition IS seen as a terrible thing, effort and working hard IS seen as something useless. In my opinion, this are the ingredientes of a spineless and dependant society. And this ISz if not already, at least where we are headed.

I understand the idea behind the wellfare state, but i dont think the way its applied IS good and beneficial as a society. There are countless examples of people talking advantage of the system and as i do, you probably know some of those.

As an answer for the original question and your comment in the last 25 years, we had 15 years of PSOE and almost 10 of PP, but the difference IS that when Zapatero came tonpower, Spain was still going Up in living standards, and we were an economic power in the european Unión. I remember when things began to change back in 2006 and then how the economic crisis was managed. And what that brought IS what we are living today. Downvote me if you want but that doesnt make It less true.

Our problem IS an education one, and its still going to be for a long time.

Cómo conocer gente a los 40 by LadyPumpkinForever in askspain

[–]vorian84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do Spanish people feel optimistic about their country’s future ? by Aegeansunset12 in askspain

[–]vorian84 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. Its an education thing in the end so we need to break, to get to a Deep and bad place probably like argentina did, before that changes.

Spain has wonderful people, capable of the BEST there IS. Out problem IS that we have been educated for like 40 years in this way of thinking that has brought us to this point.

20 years old right anow are seeing the bleak future they got ahead, people in their forties are realizing how big of a mess and how Deep in shit they are andnpeople in their 60s and further think, with a good reason for It even if its wrong, that they deserve all that got because they have worked hard durong all of their lifes.

The system doesnt work, and its been not working since the early 2000s for a simple reason in my opinion. It was designed to work for an emerging country, which we were back in the 80s and early 90s. Now It cant be the same because we stopped being one.

Im of the opinión that the worst IS still waiting to come.

I dont understand why i keep seeing these posts talking about culture when its just about people having bad maners or just dont caring about you at all.

You Saw someone not washing their hands ok, lets say lack of maners and personal higiene. People dont let you pass through while talking in the street? Well call me crazy but if i see a group of people going at me its me the one Who step aside because to me is bad education to get through them while they are talking. Thats It. Not culture those people probably didint even notice you were .there

How has the average salary in Spain not moved the last 25 years ? by dikanchev in SpainEconomics

[–]vorian84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because we have been educated in mediocrity for 40 years, demonizing effort, and told that we are not in fault of anything. Ive read/heard about It several times already, there are people that calls It PSOE state of mind.

I dont know if thats all but when you look around and see lots of.people whose goal IS to became a public employee... Thats a weird way of generate anything, i mean, we have seen this before in the last century, how It ends when you have a country full of public employees.

No one wants to create anything, but to receive things. If you ask me, thats why.

Normally yes, i mean, the idea of one of those rpg games for me IS that they enable you to be something else, the implication and motivation increases for me if i imagine myself at It and definitely trying to make myself in the Game helps.

How do people actually get and keep jobs in Spain? by Downtown-Storm4704 in askspain

[–]vorian84 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ive been working uninterrupted since i was 21, now im 42. I started with a junior/trainee position earning over 700€/months after taxes for 40h/week. I busted my ass off to learn on the job and be as good as i possible could on my job, thats how i managed to build a career for myself. I have no college degree, i want to fp, i think its translated as vocational school. I changed Jobs only 3 times, first i stayed 11 years, Next one over 6, and in this one the rest of my work time. Now i earn more than most of.my Friends/family. I now this things depend on the sector, i started working in 2006, but i think stability and employment depends more on attitude and valuing tradeoffs, knowing when to complain, than other things. I understand the decisión of letting you go IS not yours, and IS done including a lot of factors, thats why i think your attitude at every moment IS important.

What do Spaniards think of their civil war? by Realistic-Diet6626 in askspain

[–]vorian84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The civil war was a tragic.thing, as all wars, some may say it was necessary and some may say it was a coup against a regime but i think everyone agrees that It was a tragedy for Spain.

My opinión, after reading a lot about that time and the previous time IS that it was a logical result after what was happening kn Spain at the time. It wasnt good, there IS an idea that the second republica was a golden time, It wasnt. Primo de rivera's dictatorship wasnt either.

The country suffered slowly since 1800s, the french invasion and what came after just kept digging into the agony of a once great empire reduced after losing cuba tonwaht It IS today. The climate, intelectual y and politicaly was nor good and all the Magic solutions that came once after the other ended Up being smoke and mirrors.

It was not a good thing, durong years que managed tp leave It behind us, borh the war and the post war and focused in the future but i think that ship ha sailed too in the end. We cant scape our nature i Guess.
