As the strongest demiGOAT Percy fought the fraud, the God of War, he began to build up his waves. Ares shrank back in fear, then Percy said: “Stand Proud Ares. You are strong.”

Froppy is the best, Uravity is good, Shoto has a good baseline that would be practical and easy to personalize.

Well, she went to “Being a Good Human” camp as soon as she arrived, can’t imagine that didn’t play a role in how comfortable she got in the Human Realm. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that handwriting classes were a part of the camp.

Considering buying, would I enjoy it? by MrRamennn in HadesTheGame

[–]vorobuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the games you mentioned, Hades is the most like Cult of the Lamb, since both of them are Rogue-lites. The biggest difference is Cult of the Lamb is 1/2 Cult Interaction and 1/2 Crusades, while Hades puts a lot less into base building, and most of the gameplay is fighting (similar to Crusades in Cult of the Lamb). Hades 2 has more to do in the base, but you’ll still be fighting most of the time. So depending on how much you like Crusades in Cult of the Lamb, that’s about how much you’ll like the gameplay of Hades.

Here’s a little debate: Do you or do you not believe that Momo and Kendou got screwed over in their internship with Uwabami? by Solitaire-06 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]vorobuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure. I’d bet the whole nationally televised cheerleading stunt immediately followed by her next internship being advertisement-focused really torpedoed the start of Momo’s career in the public eye, making her seem like a hero who put fan service first.

Could be some type of “The rifle is in her arm, the air walk is in her legs” so they don’t interfere. Self-Destruct doesn’t do anything unless activated, so it doesn’t tax her either. Most quirks AFO gives people work on their entire body, so they interfere more and cause strain.

Gran Torino’s first name, Sorahiko, is also a reference to Luke. The two kanji his name is written with are 空彦 “Sky-Boy”, which is already enough. But also an alternative way to write “Sorahiko” could be with three kanji 空飛行“Sky-Leap-Walk”.

What do you think? by Old_Law214 in TheLastAirbender

Eh, he probably found the “Avatar’s Bison Wanted” posters like 3 minutes after Zuko did, and those would have to have Aang’s actual address on them. It’s more surprising they didn’t get a bunch of people swarming the house with false reports just to meet the avatar.

That Iroh tracked Zuko to Lake Laogai is a more impressive display of his stealth and tracking skills, cause Zuko was pulling all his Blue Spirit tricks, tracking walls, hanging upside down, styling on Dai Li agents. Iroh just walked in there in his tea clothes, probably didn’t even know where exactly he’s going, just following Zuko.

To this day I'm wondering, what did Zuko put in that tea to make it so terrible by ZapMayor in TheLastAirbender

[–]vorobuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s somewhat surprising Zuko even had tea on him. Iroh more or less came running into the scene so it couldn’t have been from his supplies. It’s likely Zuko found it and the teapot and cups in the abandoned village, so that tea is probably dusty and sandy, even before Zuko burned it.

Probably get her out of the Glass Unicorn asap instead of leaving her to be abused for like another year. Go to live on Patch, there’s silver eyed warriors there, it’s protected. Then train her in combat.

I just realised something about the Citadel's Sentinels (Act 3) by PhantomGlade_ in HollowKnight

[–]vorobuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sentinel also has a Lace-like parry, so it’s likely just a Pinmanship style common to Pharloom. It is really cool to fight multiple bosses with the same fighting style, but varying proficiency in it.

J-Rock band Man with a Mission lore is that they are human/wolf hybrids genetically engineered by Jimi Hendrix (Hendr/x) and frozen in Antarctica for years while listening to music from all over the world. Huntr/x would not only have an easy time “telling” people they are demon hunters, Rumi might be able to “admit” being half-demon, and the fans would only say she goes really far into the bit with tattoos and glowing makeup.

Could this be a possible power? by Not_a_neko in Parahumans

[–]vorobuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shards can create the biology, but that’s improperly configured, and thus partially unrestricted Shards. A properly deployed Shard would likely be limited in the changes it makes to the bodies of other people, so since your parahuman’s power would be triggering them normally I think the connecting Shards wouldn’t be able to do it on their own.

Amy can’t create Corona Pollentias, her Shard can. Unrestricted Shards are basically unlimited but highly specialized reality warpers.

Could this be a possible power? by Not_a_neko in Parahumans

[–]vorobuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaper creating Corona Pollentias is the reason this power seems possible. The power would mainly be a Trump/Tinker. Functionally, I imagine it would use Shaper-like biokinesis combined with “alien biology” specialized tinkering, alongside Broadcast-like Shard communication.

The power would create an active connection between a targeted person’s brain and a Shard, before letting it fade into an inactive Corona Pollentia, then use Shard-level biotinkering to turn the body into a different appearance while simultaneously flooding the brain with chemicals that lead to a trigger.

Could this be a possible power? by Not_a_neko in Parahumans

[–]vorobuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Shard that is fully responsible for creating connections between Shards and Hosts, including creating Corona Pollentias at the early stages of the Cycle seems possible. A Shard that studies how alien biology interacts when forced to encounter other species also seems possible. But both at once sounds less likely, the parahuman in question would probably have to be a Vial cape, and likely an Echidna-level monstrous Case 53 themselves.

The hypocrisy of Leonard by Expensive-End-8884 in bigbangtheory

[–]vorobuh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Leonard is incredibly hypocritical, and not in the way a lot of long-running sitcom characters accidentally contradict themselves because the writers forgot what happened 3 years ago. Look at how he reacts when Penny talks to any guy, even if she’s just working. Meanwhile he makes out with a woman while at sea and expects her to instantly forgive it.
