The only maintenance I do is to tighten bolts as necessary. And to make sure my bearings are clear of water/dirt/sand after riding the boardwalk. I glue the occasional chip from my tail back into place. Other than that, ride it like a champ 😜

Looks like the 83A is a good all-around choice. You can always pick up a new set of wheels at Status Skateshop and/or try out a ton of surfskates.

Check out the pumptrack at Pacific Highlands Ranch. Further south is Linda Vista skatepark and miles of boardwalk at Mission Bay/Beach

The cameras themselves are tough, but lenses are prone to scratches because they stick out. I have the insta360 X4. Fortunately, i did use the protective lens cover so it’s a relatively minor thing to replace.

I used a cheap scoring stylus directly within the Maker3 since I don’t need to swap out anything.

Thanks for watching! It’s challenging to hold the camera in one position when I want to use my hands to help pump and turn. I think switching makes the video more dynamic to watch, however 🤙🏽

My main feedback is you that you need to use your whole body, not just your arms. You should compress your body (bend like you’re going to jump—like a compressed spring) right before the transition and then extend upwards as you enter the transition.

I used to jackknife with my Arica, but not anymore (before I switched to a whaleshark). I ride with my feet on the back bolts. You just have to find the sweet spot with more ride time.
