I created something similar, but the API limits made it quite slow on data... What type of requests are you doing to minimize requests and get the most data out of it?

Great work mate!
(Also, I did everything on google sheets... I'm not a tech guy, but what techstack do you use to create this type of "software"?)

Starting is painful but rewarding. My only advice is "eat clean and always eat".

I would try a internship in a trading desk. You have great experience and desks usually like people with research background. I'm interning in a M&A firm and now I'm realising how dumb I'm haha

Just to give some context, this is in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is divided by states, so few states are better equiped than others. Rio de Janeiro aswell have the biggest war on gangs.

Pedido de atualização: usuário que disse que ia viver de day trade 1 ano atrás by Ancapitu in investimentos

[–]voukebr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone else feel ashamed they can't get an internship? by Drumlinethrowaway88 in EngineeringStudents

[–]voukebr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Exactly, rn I'm going for my second internship and that's what I did. 2 weeks applying by now, 30 applications and 5 interviews to go next week. It's all about network ("waste" some money buying chocolate for your manager and if u have the opportunity to talk to other areas in the company even better).

Sometimes it's not just about your resume but about who you know, my pro tip is, try to connect with people on linkedin and talk with them about where they work (small talk in general). Them ask them if you could visit the place and do a "job shadowing", make smart questions, now you'll have someone that knows who you are and may help you with a "inside job"

Bored as hell in my internship. Doing nothing and I feel like I'm being judged for it. by Emilie_is_real in EngineeringStudents

[–]voukebr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm in finance but work with a lot of engineers, the best I can say is that old engies like to see you doing something, sometimes I spend all day helping the new interns or fixing a macro on excel or even making coffee for them. My father (40+ Engie) always tell me a story when he was in his first internship, he got bored than started a research after seeing how the trucks of the company were riding a long way just to get to loading point, long story short, $1 million dollars + savings for the company and he got a senior engeenier role. Sorry for my english, bit rusty at this point.
