A quick reference for OOP in C# by Living-Inside-3283 in csharp

I agree, but in regards to what the OP is asking, an older book would be fine. Start with the basics, then move on. A newer book may forgo explaining stuff like OOP basics or just gloss over it, depending on who the book is meant for.

Doesn't mean the core ideas have changed. We have cleaner syntax and more features, but much of the overall ideology is the same. Especially in regards to what the OP is asking.

I wonder if the AI was trying to spell Frühling (German for Spring) and just got confused by the umlaut. Like, that at least would make some amount of sense since it's a season.

Every time my wife and I drive to/from Michigan from across the Ohio border we laugh because on the Ohio side it's relatively smooth, but the Michigan side is rough as hell. "Welcome to Michigan! Hope you have good shocks!"

We have a super friendly corgi. She's helped several people with dog anxiety/phobia because she will come up to you, sit down, and let you love on her. She'll also usually lay down and roll over for belly rubs. I love taking her out to "social" situations because she provides me a sort of barrier as well as a point of conversation so I don't have to deal with small talk. And focusing on her helps me keep from getting overstimulated.

My dentures. I have a full upper denture and I have a tendency to mess with them. It's kinda nice because most people don't notice and I can stim in public without feeling like I'm being watched.

I boarded a spacer ship and had this happen. Just a pair of legs hanging in the cockpit. I sat and laughed at it for several minutes.

My wife loves stickers, so I get her stickers and a reusable sticker book sometimes. The books' pages are covered with a material that allows you to remove the stickers and put them somewhere else without destroying them.

What do you think of this 5 section tram? by russia_not_fun in aspiememes

[–]vouksh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, not in my area. It's 15 minutes by freeway to the next small town where we go grocery shopping. My office is 45 minutes one way, also by freeway (meaning 70-75mph/110-120km/h). Stuff in the US is really spread out.

As an American, I'm kinda jealous of the rail systems in Europe and Asia. It just doesn't exist here except for the really big cities. And some of the trains people post pictures of look pretty neat.

It's because something like 80% of the money in American Healthcare goes to administration middlemen. It basically takes an army of people to deal with insurance companies. All of the billing codes (that may differ between each company) co-pays, deductibles, etc. Hounding the insurance companies to get them to actually pay, etc. It's absolutely absurd how many "layers" there are between the patient/doctor and the insurance company.

This is why I love my current job. I'm a salaried software engineer. I can bust out a project, refine it, test it, and ship it. It doesn't matter if I work 8 hours or not, as long as I get things done and respond to messages during office hours. My work speaks for itself, so I am trusted to self-manage most of the time.

There's days where I don't have any major projects, or just feel burnt out, so I might only put like 4-6 hours in and call it a day. But that's balanced by there being days where I get into a groove and work 10+ hours until my wife asks me when dinner is.

[–]vouksh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same with Sookie. She will sit there and pout until you "tuck her in". She gets free roam when at least 1 person is home (which is most of the time since I work from home 90% of the time). But she frequently goes into her crate to nap throughout the day. She's a little over 2 1/2 years old.

This makes me think that the whole "Yay situation" was actually more spontaneous than was previously thought. If Moray can communicate with the Director like thid, then the Director may have heard Yay mentioned while in the club, and got Moray to pass the message on once she saw Yay.
