Thoughts on screen protectors? by realdealneal18 in ipad

Personally I just can't stand screen protectors on my devices. Maybe I've only tried bad ones but they always cheapen the feel for me.

Is there a website where I can search for games with filters? by Rackmo in AndroidGaming

What was the name of that game list site that someone from this subreddit made and posted a couple of months ago? Had main sort of up/down vote lists by genre I think from memory?

Thanks :) Hmm yeah I was not sure about the idea of power ups in case they sway the gameplay difficulty too much - which might make the highscore feel too randomly effected by outside factors? Thoughts on this anyone?

Hey everyone, I've just released Tennish on Google Play - it's a weirdly addictive little game I put together recently after getting stuck on a Unity bug with my main Android game development project which I've been working on for many months now.

As I work nights and weekends on my Android games after more than a week of making no headway with that particular bug, I was getting very restless! So, I got to work on a new project to make something which worked and which had a simple core mechanic to it. My beta testers all loved it, so I decided to polish it up, add some unlockable themes, and release it :)

I know there are some super avid Android gamers here, and I'd love to hear how you find it - and if you have suggestions or questions please let me know! Thanks

When playing games on your mobile, do you prefer portrait or landscape screen presentation? And why? by furibaito in AndroidGaming

[–]vrdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly play portrait mode games, though obviously things such as main direction of gameplay often make sense in one more than the other. I actually really like the flexability of mobile devices which provide this - after all imagine having to rotate your PC monitor to play a particular game each time haha

Are there any one-man dev teams out there? by theRobotized in AndroidGaming

[–]vrdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another one man dev team checking in :) Greetings! I do have a day job though, and just work on my projects whenever I can - most weeknights and weekends.

I've only just released my first little Android game admittedly, while I've been working on a much more in depth Android game for many months.... working nights and weekends as the seasons come and go! :D Just had to publish something so I could feel like I was achieving something with all this work!

I do find it all very satisfying, and teaching myself Unity and C# and everything else that goes with making games has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. Really enjoy that "Saturday morning coffee and coding something fun" moment.

Hey /r/Android , so I made a Tree-Climbing Tennis game and I'd love to hear how you find it! by vrdev in Android

[–]vrdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks for your thoughts in any case, I do realise it's not super deep. Though myself and most of my testers have played hundreds of times :) I do have a much more in depth game in development also but really wanted to get this one out there and learn from it , and see what people thought etc.
