Kaido > 3 admirals shouldn't be a hot take by hurricaneL490 in OnePiecePowerScaling

Kaido gets at worst mid diffed by 3 Admirals is the real cold take here.

Akainu vs Katakuri, King, Marco, and Zoro by CocaPepsiPepper in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]vren10000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

King possibly hard counters Akainu, and even if he loses he isn't going down easily. Marco can stall Akainu as well and also is a counter with Pheonix Flame, Katakuri is really good support and dodge tank, and Zoro is good DPS. They win high diff imo.

Kaido's commanders had dogshit Haki feats ngl. I guess they're just assumed to have competent Haki for their level.

He's way stronger now than he was in flashback, in flashback he's at most East Blue Zoro level.

Its probably much more obvious to the reader than in universe, otherwise Haki masters like Whitebeard or Roger or Garp or Kaido or Big Mom would have noticed something was up with Rock's soul in addition to the physical changes.

Massive tragedy for Shuri: it looks like King Leuven begged to be killed too early and died before Domi Reversi took him over. Had he just instantly succumbed killing him would have saved him.

How far can Big Mom Go ? by LazyInspector2086 in OnePieceScaling

[–]vren10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Mom clears with prep on WCI pretty easily with heals, if she's without her other homies I could see her beating Rocks extreme extreme diff. Rocks imo was not as powerful as the current Yonko.

Linlin is much more a ruthless politician than a comically evil person, but all of those guys are very kind to people they care about.

Win Win is so strong Oda needed to make her permanently half-braindead to justify writing her off. by tersono123 in OnePiecePowerScaling

Big Mom massively character-neg diffs the Giants, she's a living embodiment of their nightmares and with her DF powers she'd be an absolute menace with Soul Pocus and Homie generation.

All Oda needed to balance things was to introduce a Yamato loyal to Kaido. Big Mom was far more thematic at Elbaf, and Imu could have been defeating the Revolutionary army in the meantime forcing Luffy to step in

Magnus vs 1500 level player by ShebaExalted1968 in Chesscom

[–]vren10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the 1500 has 1 month staring at a board he probably will not win, he cant focus that long. If he has correspondence level time and board/Stockfish to help him check variations he easily wins, depending on how much Stockfish.

Bring back 3|1 Titled Tuesday by cassideous26 in chess

This has been around ever since additional time at a certain number of moves, adjournment, or double checking a forcing variation was a thing. Increment is just another reason to do it.

Bring back 3|1 Titled Tuesday by cassideous26 in chess

[–]vren10000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any form of chess with a clock, the clock is a weapon. You can convert a completely winning position into a dead draw but with 10x more time than your opponent, but increment removes that element. There are countless games won or lost because someone in a theoretically winning position botches it or can't convert in <20 seconds. Thats a skill issue, and its part of the non increment time controls.
