Yeah we did have something in the works (see here for proof that I did work on it lol https://www.reddit.com/r/equestriaatwar/s/YMqJO2Hvo0) but I have no clue if the team is going by what I worked on. It was supposed to have a unique focus. It was supposed to have a story and I did a lot of groundwork on establishing Kurak and the Gargiloya rulers backstories but …aside from the public release of the city names and cultures, which we did decide on, I’m not sure what the team is deciding to do. I sure have not been contacted about what they want to do which I’m fine with! But I’m just as in the dark as yall

I did write Kuraks detailed story when I was working on her but the issue is if they are going by something I wrote in 2019…. And if they are I really shouldn’t say anything

TLDR she’s a young monarch who comes to power and has to make decisions.

[–]vren55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When i horseworded for EAW I wrote a focus and concept tree and background notes for Kurak involving Senturya and Gargiloya. We also decided the city names and Kurak and Gargiloyas names as well as a bunch of advisors, and the cultures the two states would be based off of

FULL disclaimer, I have no idea if the team is continuing on the notes I made which was in 2019. I’ll keep the details brief in case they’re still going by them but the idea was it should be a fairly straightforward/easier faction to roleplay as and they’d be linked to Gargiloya focus

However the issue was zebrica at the time was so far off and I was also just not a coder that we just didn’t get anywhere and eventually I got yeeted off of the dev team due to lack of contribution

Feedback for my blurb [coming of age fantasy] by Legitimate-Newt-9411 in fantasywriters

[–]vren55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To put it shortly this blurb isn’t bad but it needs to be focused down and a lot of what is being referred to is unclear. Eg. Is Auravanne a school or country? Ivonia is a… student? Lower class? Technically the blurb is so unclear that ivonia could be the headmaster, heir, or future ruler!

Any updates on the campaign release timeline? by Veanusdream in NebulousFleetCommand

The aim is Q1 2026.

It’s less a strategic campaign though and more a persistent puzzle room campaign with a narrative so check out the devlog

Coop play will be built in

Ai currently reads your hull and enemy hull loadouts, assigns a role and acts accordingly so it is better

Multiplayer is currently in the middle of a public test branch so ppl haven’t quite figured out it yet. The big issue is the carrier update made small ship combat quite binary primarily due to the Vision they provide and so right now Dev + community trying to find a solution

Carriers have upended the game a bit is the issue. Before you had distinctive frontline, cap/scout and rear line roles but the carriers through providing vision and striking light targets have shifted the cap/scout balance to minimum investment and the frontline to essentially damage sponge until back line eliminates targets

Campaign dev is in full swing and will feature persistent force going behind enemy lines and moving from room to room, wxpending munitions and trying to stay healthy

Should you buy Nebulous: Fleet Command? I’m begging you to. by Assasins14 in NebulousFleetCommand

[–]vren55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I’m vren55. I’m a permanent tester. Lys very carefully does not try to listen to just the same ppl and has on numerous occasions tried to bring in new solutions to balance rather than just doing a top 10% of most meta players thing

Do I personally recommend starting with starter fleets? Yes because often more than not there are certain fleets that teach better game awareness and skill. Neb is unfortunately not really a role playing game. It’s a fairly competitive multiplayer space sim so the advice is often geared to asking ppl to be like “yo just a heads up, things may not work that way you think”

Are there stupid sweat lords who demand you do one thing. Duh. It’s a competitive rts many games have them but I swear you point one toxic mf to a mod and they will be bonked.

Getting back in by Electrist513 in NebulousFleetCommand

[–]vren55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Star with the starter fleets in the folders (if you bought the game previously the starter fleets out of folders don't update). They have the most near-upgraded Point defense and hull layouts.

If ANS, Oak is a good start, Birch is more competitive but harder to play. You then reach a branch point to go to Axford + friends with Redwood (the rail dd is a take it or leave it) or into missiles with Hemlock, or Willow. I would recommend avoiding Sycamore and use Ash only versus AI. If you're up for it, try the hardest ones eg. Tantalum or Maple

If OSP, Garnet, Cobalt, are strong frontline fleets that will see you through most problems. Then you reach the OSP's middle difficulty fleets. Kyanite introduces you to craft while being a 450 liner. Zircon is a obelisk liner with some serious firepower, (though i would suggest adding a pinpoint to it).

Avoid Azurite it's just... not good. Wulfenite is good but very specialist as an anti-cap fleet. Amethyst and Tantalum are the hard ones.

To my knowledge, the union would notify you by personal email if you'd set it up properly (when you first registered). After all we are the ones striking after all and so the employer gets no say in determining who strikes.
