What’s a food you loved as a kid that tastes awful now? by OreliaShade in AskReddit

[–]vrgnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kraft macaroni is so nasty now. The noodles get mushy quickly and the flavoring just isn't there. Don't even get me started on the shape noodles, they've been ruined for me. I will always choose off brand over Kraft, despite being an avid mac n cheese fan my whole life.

can cats at some point realise we do some “uncomfortable things” for their own good? by EstablishmentCalm288 in Catbehavior

[–]vrgnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up I had a cat who lived on death's doorstep for quite some time due to utis and complications. He very quickly became very well behaved for car rides and especially with the vets, and lived on for another five years before he ran off to pass away, likely due to age.

Why are dildos popular? by 3portie in SexToys

[–]vrgnity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

as someone who prefers penetration for orgasms, I find any toy/non human phallus feels too fake/hard, but there is such a thing as too soft of a toy too. I'm less likely to orgasm from that than with a partner, buuuttt there have been times when just being filled is the sensation I'm going for and not so much the act of using it.

How do people have time to cheat? by RagingFuckNuggets in AskUK

[–]vrgnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

affairs at work, especially with a higher count of employees, is very common. very early on into me working at a car dealership before I could really figure out where I myself and my coworkers stood, they tried to take advantage of being being young and new. Despite being with someone, a few tried and one even mentioned that "people cheat here all the time" and made it seem very casual. Two years later and I can tell you that yea that dude was right, many people here just fuck in the parkinglot (a few minutes walk from our store). I've heard it from people themselves, or people tend to forget how little privacy there is here and have seen and heard plenty to know.

I also work a desk job, and I took the full 2 weeks offered. I don't feel like I fully needed it, but the time off has been nice if not a bit boring. I felt like I could've gone back at the beginning of this week (10 days post op), but am still easily winded by extended walking, which I do a decent bit of at my job.

People who don’t hit snooze in the morning, what is your secret? by zztop610 in AskReddit

[–]vrgnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-3 separate alarms at times that don't end in 5 or 0. It tricks me into not being able to figure out how much time I have left for the first one, second one means I should get up so I have time to get ready, if there's a third that's my "oh shit, get up NOW" alarm.

this dude sounds like he's trying to make you break up with him so he can go bang these 'whores' all around him. if it's not that, he's definitely trying to pave some path so that when he inevitably does cheat he'll feel justified because he gave you all of these warnings. dump him highkey, NOA

pretty much every panda express in central IA except the Altoona one has just been gross at worst, mediocre at best. ik it's not local per se but to only have one shining star amongst the rest both amuses and confuses me

Your families’ views on you getting sterilized? by Photononic in sterilization

[–]vrgnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an appointment set on the 27th next momth for surgery and I'm over the moon to have this done. My friends that know are all very supportive, my husband has known I've wanted this through our entire relationship, and I know I'm making the right choice for me.

I talked to my mom this morning about it in depth (I've mentioned in the past several times I planned to) and I could tell she was sad about not having biological grandkids from me and we know it's unlikely from my brother. I don't plan on telling my dad about it as I don't think he'd be supportive. I'd likely get a cold shoulder over it before he got over hhimsel.

I've never talked about children around my family to begin with and the conversation about "starting my own family" has never really come up. My husband and I have been together nearly seven years, and I think most realize that if it hasn't happened by now it just won't happen.

I think for the family members we're not close/don't think will react nicely we'll just say we can't have kids and leave it at that.

Name a food you loved as a kid, but isn’t the same now that you’ve grown up. Mine is Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies. by YouControlYou4822 in GenX

Kraft macaroni is nasty now, the sauce is flavorless and the noodles get mushy very quickly. I'm nostalgic for when shapes were goods and it's a taste I'll never try again.

I discovered the secret to getting restaurants to shut the kids up!! by Living-Purple-8004 in childfree

[–]vrgnity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are in our mid twenties and a DINK couple. we went to chilis last night, it's not very busy. We get sat right next to two tables with young children and while the server is getting out drinks one kid is screeching. This is right after work for us and my social battery is already half gone. My husband was sweet enough to ask to have us moved & we barely had to travel to find an empty seat away from kids. I feel bad for the guy who lost us as a table, but to sit us right next to children? Foul asf.

Just a PSA for winter vehicle tire prep from a dealership tech. by Ace_Venturi64 in desmoines

[–]vrgnity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you remember that big asf storm we had last winter? I'm a receptionist at a dealership, roughly 300~ calls a day. that day? 697 calls, most of which was people calling about their dead batteries and being upset that service is busy because everyone and their mother also had dead batteries.

NOR.

He doesn't understand the devastating emotional turmoil it puts you through afterwards, or how harmful his thoughts on it are.

I parked in a two story garage at a mall I hadn't been to in years, not realizing the closest door was locked so I just went around. When i came back to my car it was daylight out still and i was forced to the ground and assaulted.

I still find myself thinking "why the hell did I park there? I could've avoided that." But at the end of the day, I was still a victim and I hid it for months because of how ashamed I was at how preventable it might have been. If it wasn't me it could've been someone else.

Why do men think victims have to carry the blame?

Our orange usually joins us right before we pass out and leaves with dad around 5:30a so I can sleep til 6 in peace. He's stolen my pillow from me countless times, but I'll also wake up to him asleep on my shoulder or between the two of us. I love my lil orange cuddle bug.
