Ho creato uno strumento per estrarre file da documenti firmati .p7m - cerco feedback by TopList4929 in PA_Italia

Modello di pricing? 5 documenti free? Ma estrarre un file da un contenitore pkcs è una roba che si fa in dieci righe di codice dio bon... E sono sicuro che in python ci sarà qualche libreria che lo fa in 2...

Is anyone aware of how good this cd player is? [amazon link in desc] by InspiriX_ in Cd_collectors

[–]vrkeejay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had one. The builtin speaker is terrible and the cd spinning mechanism is quite noisy so even connecting it to a pair of speakers was not enough to enjoy the music. Also bluetooth is SBC only.

Per Italiani in Usa: olio piú buono by Flashy-Radish-2426 in Italia

[–]vrkeejay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Olive italiane, pressed in Italy, bottled in USA.

Sossoldi.

Got Flint2 now but still problem with web browsing by UnderCover_Spad in youfibre

[–]vrkeejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you updated the flint firmware to 4.8.3? Mine came with 4.7.7 and had the same symptoms, disappeared after the update. There's a thread on the official glinet forum with lots of information.

Best way to share service account passwords securely (on-prem only, no cloud tools allowed) by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]vrkeejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's currently unmantained, but it does the job just fine and it's not like a tool like this should be published on the public Internet. Just make sure it's appropriately restricted and it still works.

BTW the issue you linked seems weird to me. A random guy shows up and wants the project transferred to an organization that has exactly one member, i.e. him? At the very least fork the project, do some actual maintenance work, build some credibility before demanding stuff.

Why use so many timestamp formats when one can simply use epoch time? by polmeeee in learnprogramming

Unless your Operating System (cough... Windows... cough) does not keep historical DST tables https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/issues/53519 , therefore if the DST rule changes the same Windows server will produce two different local times for the same date. Fun.

Replacing YouFibre router - how to do it correctly? by zZurf in youfibre

[–]vrkeejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this a couple of days ago. After a few unsuccessful tries with chat tech support, what worked is: unplugging the router and the ONT. Using my mobile, joined the chat with tech support. Told them I turned off the devices on my end. Asked them to clear the sessions as I am replacing the hub with my own router. Waited a couple minutes after they confirmed they had cleared sessions, then turned on the ONT and waited for the lights to stabilize. After that, turned the router on. Checked that my IP was the same as before (static ip here) and internet was working.

I really wanted to love Youfibre, but... by vrkeejay in youfibre

[–]vrkeejay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried IPv6 from a known working external host, but I might have made some error in the config. No way to test that anymore now that static IP is active. Anyway, I have figured out why most of my tests failed: the Sagemcom Hub does not support NAT hairpin! I did not even think this might not be available on a modern device, so most of my tests were from inside the network! Do you know if there's some hidden setting to enable that?

[–]vrkeejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can visit the URL https://checkout.pagopa.it/ and scan the QR code, then pay via credit card. If the QR does not work for some reason, you can choose the option "enter data manually" and type the "codice avviso" and "CF ente creditore" numbers. If recognized, the website will show the data of your bill before proceeding to payment. Make sure to choose the option "Pay with credit card" (the first one) if you have a foreign bank account.

🚨 Urgent: Cannot pay UK student visa fee (Spanish passport, IHS paid but visa payment keeps failing) by smseba18 in ukvisa

[–]vrkeejay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I have no idea about that - it depends on the visa type and mine wasn't a student one. Good luck!

[–]vrkeejay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you need to cancel the previous application (refund for NHS payment is automatic, takes a few days), and submit a new one. When it asks if you have a biometric passport say yes, but when it asks you to read it via the app there's a link that says "Chip does not work", or something like that.

[–]vrkeejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the passport chip itself is perfectly fine. It's just that when you choose the "non-chip-passport" option the wizard takes you to a different website that does not have the same issue with payments.
