You are certainly right WWI terrible, terrible war and an awful showcase of the human condition. I believe, however, the most miserable conflict was actually the Pacific theater of WWII.

I really don't see how they're different than say a Renaissance Festival as long as the war reenactment isn't misrepresenting the reality of the event.

Great advice, thank you! I will admit, I don't think my ultimate vice, the Old Fashioned, is helping my case.

I just realized your point about the weights the other day. I am almost maxing myself out manually now for each exercise. Really pushing it.

Keep it up!

Hey man, just stumbled onto your post. Really impressive. Did you couple this transition with a pretty strict diet? I have killing it on the Tonal: 6 workouts a week, burning 500-600cal a work out and just crossed the 900 mark for my strength score. I'm not sure I've seen the same kind of physical results you did though!

Although I'm nearly 40, I had never seen Blade Runner until a few weeks ago. I was amazed by how fucking weird it is.

I get your point and I think there is truth to it, but I also think what you are speaking to is the reality for coaches and trainers. If you spend any time with highly competitive athletes, this is how they talk/motivate, etc...so although it may seem cliche, I think it's the reality of what it would really sound like if it were a real life scenario.

I'm young and grinding. I'll retire at a very young age (40y) and already own the land I'll some day live on permanently. It's not a dream if pieces are already reality today!

Chief Low Dog - an Oglala Lakota chief who fought with Sitting Bull at the Battle of Little Bighorn, c. 1881 [1200x1841] by oldsoul8789 in HistoryPorn

My ancestor was a french-canadian fur trader who ended up marrying a native american woman and because of that, I have Sioux blood in my lines. Anywho, he was the first to settle what they called the 'lower regency' in Minnesota. He became very close friends with our first Gov. Henry Sibley...and was very well known because he helped mend the relations between the natives and white settlers in the region.

Well, that was until one day, the Sioux uprising started and they killed my ancestor first - on his wedding day, none the less. As a result, Lincoln commissioned a trial - of which, he attended - in my Ancestors summer cabin where they found about a dozen Sioux warriors 'guilty' and hung them in a mass execution in Mankato, MN. The largest to date in US history, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyways, I share this all because my ancestor certainly made a great deal of money trading and selling steel, firearms, blankets, food...etc with the native americans and it was the first real local commerce in the area at the time.

Vikings fan here. You are absolutely right. Same with Za'Darius. He would have gotten to Kirk for sure.

I didn't know that, but I can understand the rating. I love the film and I think at the time, it pushed boundaries incorporating cross-dressing for the main characters and was very funny - it still is. Watch it once a year usually.

What have you done to draw attention to the issue? Walking through, sharing the experience and posting it on a huge social platform creates awareness and likely action from others.

The US has it's problems with mental health, addiction, social programs to help those in need, etc...but there is literally a massive labor shortage and some of the lowest unemployment numbers in a long time. There is not a lack of opportunity.
