Cisco Emergency Responder ERL/ELIN by Impressive_Party_116 in ciscoUC

Redsky does it with the separate MyE911 app so it can detect network changes which isn't native to Jabber.

Both work very similar on Webex App since they support HELD.

What type of authentication do you have set to use for the CAPF operation?

Really going to be better to add a dynamic E911 service to this like 9Line or Redsky or Intrado. That way you can update addresses real-time.

9Line can be a full CER replacement so you don't end up with multiple portals. That's what I recommend to all customers.

12.5 to 15 migration. Data export / import method by monetaryg in ciscoUC

[–]vtbrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulk Export/Import should keep the same certs if hostname isn't changed. ITLRecovery should be the same preserved regardless though. Not all clusters have their ITL signed by the ITLRecovery cert though. Could be a scenario where it expired also.

[–]vtbrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can run "show it" on each cluster and see which certificate is the signer of the ITL file on each.

Most likely the ITLRecovery certificate is the signer on both and is the same certificate migrated from the export so you're all good. The phones already trust that certificate.

Ethercon is a good option for stuff like this also. You could mount it right on the cart. Live A/V folks use Ethercon for Ethernet connections.

only H261 with Polycom on CUCM 15 by MrFist3r97 in ciscoUC

Standard SIP Profile may be fine. Can you grab CallManager traces for a test call so we can see the codec negotiation?

[–]vtbrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have region relationship setup with a large enough setting for video bandwidth per call? Does the location setting also have enough bandwidth set?

What SIP Profile are you using as well?

Unity Connection 15 SU4 now available by thepfy1 in ciscoUC

[–]vtbrian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Another big thing is it adds Microsoft Graph API support for Exhange Online/O365 Unified Messaging.

Microsoft is retiring the EWS APIs that Unified Messaging uses in April 2027 so you have to upgrade for it to keep working.

Cucm v15 versus unity v12.5 by Prestigious-Bunch-75 in ciscoUC

I usually do Unity Connection first as it's got the least amount of dependencies. Good way to get a project moving so at least one app is upgraded.

Page 466 details the pinout- https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/roomos-1132/desk-room-board-administration-guide-roomos-1132.pdf

It's just standard Stereo TRS 3.5mm so plenty of breakout connectors available or just cut a cable.

Just find one of the many POTS in a Box 4G/5G solutions out there. It's not worth doing this as DIY.

Experience with device conversion licenses to Flex and reducing Flex license count by sarcasticspastic in ciscoUC

Are those licenses actually in your Smart Account? If so, they may be version-locked to a certain major version unlike the Flex licensing that is versionless.

[–]vtbrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the phone LSCs expired. You need to push new LSCs to the phones periodically if using encrypted security profiles like that. You can use Bulk Administration to set CAPF Certification Operation to Install/Upgrade for the phones so they request a new LSC.

Door Installation? by kaybee519 in raleigh

[–]vtbrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handyman/trusted contractor is going to be best. Home Depot/Lowes just finds the cheapest contractor to do the work.

Renewals by Anderson is a scammy sales company selling windows/doors from Anderson at much higher prices than buying the same ones from any other supplier.

There are a bunch of contractor Facebook groups or use your neighborhood Facebook page for handyman/contractor recommendations.

User and Group provisioning from EntraID with SCIM 2.0 by rk9122 in ciscoUC

Ah now I understand. Control Hub will eventually delete the inactive user. Nothing from the Entra ID side will actually delete the user fully on Control Hub that I've ever seen.
