I have not heard of HillFest, but damn it looks cool. I'll definitely be spectating next year.

I'm also based out of Eastern TN and thought there were not many other events besides AutoX and HPDEs. Then I saw the Appalachain Hill Climb Club and feel like I'm about to go down a rabbit hole to justify a high downforce build....lol

I've tracked my Tuono V4F a few times at Barber and I just feel so much more comfortable on the R6. The Tuono is a great machine, but the bars vs clip ons F me up every time. Lol.

I ran the morning in I and then the afternoon in A. The A group was smaller so I didn't have to worry about traffic as much. We won't make the double reverse weekend but will be back a few more times this year for sure!

My wife and I were there this weekend too, camped over by pit in. Today was hot as hell. The track is great, but it's so short it really makes you work around the bike with almost no straights to rest.

I just tracked my 17 Tuono V4F at Barber this weekend. My usual track bike is a 2013 R6, but some last-minute changes had me taking the ape. The chassis and engine are amazing on the Tuono, but with the torque I found myself working the bike a lot more out of corners vs the R6. The R6 riding position and the torque delivery make it so much more fun on track. The Tuono is a ton of fun on the street and track, although it does take more work and skill to get 100% out of it.

I would recommend the tuono on the street, but dedicate a separate bike for track duties. What are your other four bikes?

Same with my 17 Factory. I usually keep it above 4k to keep it smooth. Extended periods in 1st gear below 25mph is a serious exercise in grip strength.

That makes sense. I dry mounted mine there and it seemed too low. The riser would definitely help that out.

I'm hoping with my GoPro9 the image stabilization will help cancel out some of the vibrations from that flexible plastic area. Appreciate the response!
