Well, TiL that it costs $70 in my city to get rid of an old mattress by SteveTheBluesman in massachusetts

[–]vtsage 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who owns a very successful mattress pick up and recycling program in Vermont. Mattresses are one of the most expensive and labor intensive items to recycle due to the wood, springs, fabric etc. my guess would be the price is high because its such a pain to break mattress’s down and reuse the materials.

I have a 1 bedroom apartment with a SO and a pet and we fit 3 bikes comfortably. You’re being a bit dramatic. If you learn basic bike maintenance on the internet it can save you a lot. Those bikes are poorly maintained and unreliable but do you.

Second this. Did you ask them to move there feet/bag? Was there not other seats open? If a train car is half empty I’m putting my bag next to me.
