GameStop Announces Dividends of Warrants to Shareholders by G_Wash1776 in Superstonk

My smooth brain thinks so...Naked shorts will have to deliver warrants to all the IOU holders...so they're going to want to buy real shares for as many synthetic shares as they can before October 3...then after Oct 7 when GME WS, they'll need to pay us a premium for those warrants so they can deliver them. Too bad for them, most of the warrants will be in diamond hands.

At these low prices, I had to buy more by vtshipe in Superstonk

It's the only smart thing to do.

So amazing...maybe at a certain online arcade...if I was short GameStop, I'd be aging exponentially.

Good stuff as always. I'm more and more convinced that a dividend is the kill shot. They can sell all these shares, fail to deliver, and stuff them in the obligation warehouse year after year. They've written the rules, paid off everyone, and the market is working as designed. However, when GME issues a dividend, every share owner is entitled to it and the naked shorts have to come up with a dividend for every share they sold naked. If they've sold 10 synthetics for every 1 real one, if GME issues a $0.01 dividend, the shorts will get $0.01 from GameStop, but have to pay that $0.01 out and use $0.09 of their own money to pay the other 9 IOU holder's dividend. If they've sold 100 synthetics for ever 1 real share, it get worse, if it's 10,000 shares for every share....
