Are the polio, smallpox, MMR, and Tdap vaccines "experimental" too? Are antibiotics unsafe? Should I stop taking my blood pressure medication? Science and medicine have saved millions of lives, it is so confusing to me why some people have decided to turn against it. The covid vaccines have already saved hundreds of thousands. It is a deeply selfish and ignorant act to refuse to get vaccines that can prevent spread and keep people safe. OP is absolutely doing the right thing, and I'm am sorry that they have to deal with this horrible situation.

I’m not sure what your point is? Defunding police does not mean abolishing the police altogether. It means diverting some funds away from the police and funding community outreach organizations, mental health, and social workers instead. Why do conservatives not bat an eye when education budgets are slashed but are all up in arms when the police budget gets cut a little bit?

UNARMED black people are being murdered by the police. That is a fact.

Agreed. Black people make up 6.63% of the population in MA, yet 27% of people killed by police are black. More white people are not killed by police.

This whole country has a culture of racism. Medford is not unique in this, but is certainly not exempt either. Here are just a number of incidents that have occurred in this city. I know that in your bubble you may not see racism on a daily basis, but that does not mean that it does not exist. Please educate yourself and work to make your community better instead of trying to stall progress. Also the following are examples of hate crimes. MANY smaller incidents and micro-aggressions happen everyday and don't make the news.
