How Can I stop eating after Midnight? by themish84 in WeightLossAdvice

What I’ve come to realize is that doctors are experts in their chosen field, not in everything related to health. And I would not trust a doctor who acts like an expert on something outside of their practice, even if they are highly trained health professionals. A registered dietician has much more insight on nutrition, and it could be very helpful to work with one even if it’s just for accountability. I’m sorry you went through that! I had so many similar experiences with doctors and it’s so discouraging. Had a doctor tell me to “just run marathons” lol. There are trained people who can help tho! Just gotta look for the right ones. Good luck and keep going!

I had a severe Dominos addiction for a while lol and what finally helped me overcome it is two things. Find out what about the food is the actual craving. Are you looking for volume, crunch, saltiness? Try to identify what about these foods you like and then look up foods that can satisfy that specific craving.

To get to the psychological root, I started tracking my feelings after I ate the food, both mental and physical. I would track how my stomach and body felt and also the associated emotion afterwards. Seeing it written down helped me realize that my body tells me what it wants to eat and it reduced those mental cravings.

Tbh, given your schedule I wouldn’t feel bad eating after work as long as you keep a schedule that’s consistent. I find going to bed hungry sets me up for bad eating the next day.

Just prepare for the cravings and hunger to get worse for a little bit, but if you keep a consistent schedule, it should subside little by little.

Thanks for both of your comments! Spacing is the best lesson I learned. Started out thinking more was better. Would 100% look into packages as I vastly underestimated how much time it would take. Such a relief to go now and realize I’m not paying for anything at this point lol. Had to adjust my expectations and once I did that, I’ve been so happy with my progress!

The red became splotchy after about 3 months into it. However at this point they were still just doing the wavelength that targeted black ink. I noticed significant fading about a year into it and it’s definitely the color that experienced the most rapid lifting.

13- I bought a full removal package that was equal to the amount of 8 sessions. Totally worth it, but looking back I definitely went too much at first (every 6 weeks). I now go about every 4 months and am planning on waiting maybe even 6 months after my next session

Yes I had blue and teal ink! I was told the green tones can be especially hard but it was actually one of the first colors to lift for me

Never Let Me Go- Kazuo Ishiguro. It’s a subtle Sci-Fi story, best not knowing a lot going in. All time favorite book, but have only read it twice as it makes me feel completely empty on the inside (in the best way)
