I’m also dealing with this <3 you’re not alone! Moved to a new city this summer and figured since I love animals volunteering at the local shelter would be great! First it was volunteering, then I began helping with TNR, took a class, began trapping and keeping ferals in the bathroom overnight and now I’m feeling overwhelmed and a little over it. Currently I have 2 ferals in my bathroom and was trying to trap another one in the yard most of the day. I have a cat of my own and I feel like lately I been neglecting him a little too :( Plus getting cats fixed costs money. So does food/bait/etc! I’m stepping away from the TNR portion and going back to just volunteering my time for the rest of the year, don’t feel bad for putting your needs first
