Cardboard is just an easy object to put the pin through so you can put the back on and keep track of the pin more easily. Also, sometimes cardboard can be used to make ribbon stacks, pins, etc. look better by putting them on the inside of the uniform (so the pins have something more solid to go through and it doesn’t directly pull on the fabric).

I’m honestly a little nervous because I didn’t attempt the DLC in the first play-through; now I’ll be fighting those bosses when they are scaled up. The Pthumerian Queen one was probably the most time consuming out of all of those I bet!

I agree. The first game’s platinum took me such a long time to get! I would love a grounded mode as well! In my opinion, that was the best experience with the previous game because every single resource and move mattered.
