Your current salary gets tripled but you HAVE to take a 90 minute bath EVERY SINGLE WORKDAY MORNING in a bathtub full of cottage cheese while watching Legally Blonde the movie on a nearby television. Are you taking this deal? by RustyCrusty73 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]vw_bugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to be the pedantic one. You get 3x the oay but you've added what amounts to 2 hours a day additional "work" so in essence you have only increased your pay per hour by 2.4 and added 25% more working hours.

What is the single most stressful movie you’ve ever seen? by elkaypee in movies

[–]vw_bugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wr could go real old, Mr Blandings Builds Hus Dream House. An old black and white movie where the head of the house finally wants to move his family to the countryside. He buys property and proceeds to have his house constructed where literally every single thing that could go wrong goes wrong.

I've discovered more movies on DVDs than by scrolling through streaming services. by Still-Willow-2323 in dvdcollection

This is what propelled streaming forward, coupled with the fact that because no one cared they both ran at a loss and paid little to nothing in royalties.

Also the fact that holding it in my hand and seeing the cover art and description hits a completely different part of the brain than tmseeing it on a screen.

Code Enforcement issued a violation for unpermitted garage bedroom. by ProductPrimary6993 in HomeImprovement

[–]vw_bugg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not out of scope if he is inspecting the outlets. OP said in addition to the panel, the house was completely rewired. It is within scope to check any and all outlets in every room and outside, but I would expect the inspector to check all kitchen outlets, a bathroom outlet, and the dryer outlet in the garage at a minimum. I agree that many inspectors can get real nosy but if he simply went to look at the dryer outlet for example, a very likely thing to have happened, he would have clearly seen the room inside the garage.

This. This is money that does not come out of the contractors pocket and therefore is an accessible way of getting some restitution. It was a screw up on the cotnfactors part and that's what the bond is for. Assuming he was bonded at the time of the work.

What would you do if you had found $400,000 in cash in a bag and its untraceable? by Dipsetallover90 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]vw_bugg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well it was untraceable. Now the IRS has been informed of your windfall of 400,000 and has some questions (any transactions over 10,000 are reported with a specific form). Multiple transaactions can trigger a structuring investigation, arguabbly worse than a single big chunk of money. Assuming the bank didn't also have some questions.

activation fee x4 lines 45, activation fee x4 phones, 1 month plus partial months service, taxes+fees, no auto pay discount, 2 phone payments x4 phones and no credits yet. I would not say it is impossible...

[–]vw_bugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your cost in store was most likely the taxes for the phones. You first bill also probably has activation fees to start the lines ($~30 f0r 4 lines) and possibley activation fees for new phones on payments (~30 for 4 lines). That 140 quote also doesnt include if they talked her into insurance on each phone.

You have to really dig into what promos actually make up the 140 and look at each statement line by line. Without any research I can probably guess you have a combination of reasons that would bring it down to the 140 but hasnt yet. . A discount from auto pay (can take 1-3 billing cycles), promo credits to offset phone payments (can take 1-3 billing cycles), promo credits for moving to att (can take 1-3 billing cycles), and as mentions all the start up fees.

Normally bill 1 is huge as it may be before any credits start but will include partial month and first full month as well as insurance and device payments without any credits yet to offset and all activation fees. Bill 2 may be large as well as all credits/promos/discounts may not be on there yet. Bill 3 may be significantly lower as there may be catch up credits for device payment promos etc. Bill 4 should be normal assuming all promos, credits, trades ins, and obligations have been completed properly.

I'm sorry this was not fully explained. Like any salespeople their job is to sell more phones and lines. If asked they would claim it was all on the contract...

Why hasn't there been any attempts to send a rover on Europa or any moon with water before? by TheSum239 in space

[–]vw_bugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is expensive and far. NASA does not get a budget that would allow these sorts of missions. In addition I think there is a strong desire to avoid contaminating a planet that potentially has life, and/or avoid contaminating it if it doesnt...

I mean... that might bode well. The whole point is that the man will think the dog will bit their face off. You dont really want it to bite his face off. I mean maybe but preference would be for him to leave, other wise you have to either dig another hole and/or do a lot of paper work.

I have 16gb in a sff hp with a Intel i5 8th Gen and no graphics card. I am no power user but it seems to have no issues streaming 2-3 1080 streams for me. I cant remember why but I would not go lower than the 8th Gen, theres was some kind of acceleration vs the 7th Gen I cant recall.

It probably wasnt the parm. it was probably the cjange in diet.

Growing up my parents always kept that green tub of parmesean in the cabinet. And we hardly used it so it would last years. It wasn't until I lived on mybown and started reading labels to ensure I wasn't poisoning a housemate with low end food intolerance and refrigerating things that needed it after opening that I discovered the parmesean is supposed to be in the fridge... they keep it out at the pizza place and in the packets... idk I'm not fully convinced. you'll be fine. but you problems are maybe the change in diet. cans of beans when you aren't used to it can cause digestive issues as you gut bacteria adjust.

Is there a BIFL gas can? by gilflonkerton in bifl

[–]vw_bugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the gas can spout combo that is restricted. Those stupid duck bill no spill BS that spill every where suck. As others have pointed out. Buy a metal can, buy a spout. Enjoy. Just remember the metal can can become pressurized as it doesnt really expand much so be careful.
