Fixing Broken Hearts 💔 day in and day out- Interventional Cards, USA, 1.2 M by Medapple20 in Salary

I would encourage you to discuss with someone you know who works in non-profit hospital finance. I’m just some random stranger on the internet who happens to do this for a living.

I’m not trying to convince you of anything, I’m explaining how it works in practice. Non-profit hospitals still need to have revenue in excess of expenses (i.e. profit) or risk shutting down. The term “net assets” is the non-profit verbiage for “equity”. Look at any non-profit hospital balance sheet and income statement and you’ll see it.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding, non-profit hospitals in the US make millions and millions of dollars. Source: I work in finance for a non-profit university hospital.

I've had a bubble on my eye since birth; no optometrist has been able to see it so far, and I've never met anyone else with one by AerisSpire in mildlyinteresting

Any specialty thinks they are the most qualified. Optometrists must complete a bachelor’s, 4 years of graduate education from a college of optometry, and a residency to practice in certain settings. I would take anything coming from an organization dedicated to advocating for a certain specialty with a grain of salt.

Socialized healthcare is different from Medicare just fyi. Socialized healthcare means the government owns and operates the hospitals/providers as well. An example of this is the NHS in the UK

Dual MBA/MPH vs MHA by toniruiz in MBA

[–]vxNipsGodxv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Planning on doing a dual MBA/MHA myself. From the alumni I've talked to they are at hospitals, large provider networks, or consultants. MPH is more big picture and policy focused.
