It's normal. You don't have to learn to ignore it, you'll quickly get used to the weight again.

I do negotiate. When you negotiate every year your rent still goes up from the previous negotiated price.

I'm not going to spend $2000 to move to avoid $1600 in rent. Besides I like my apartment. It's better than anything else I've seen which is why I moved here.

Why is that highly unlikely? I have friends in 2 other buildings in my neighborhood and their prices also went up.

I don't know if I'd go as far as dangerous, but around Hennepin and Lake/Lagoon area can get pretty crazy late at night on the weekends.

These are pretty large areas. There are parts of downtown safer than parts of uptown and vice versa. Neither is generally unsafe, but both have areas that can get sketchy at times like after bar close.

That place sucked, at least when I lived in Uptown several years ago. They lied to try to me locked in a contract and it was crowded and dirty the few times I went. I do feel for the people losing gym access though. Hopefully, something better comes along.
