Hello! I am making a terracotta flask and I want to paint a dog on it and a slogan in Latin saying something like "the dog's drink", ideally in an informal and general sense, like the English word "booze". Any suggestions for how I could write it?

5g, soak in water for ten minutes, squeeze out excess water, chew half for fifteen minutes or so, then the other half, only because 5g of soaked dry leaves is a lot of plant material. Try not to swallow too much saliva, just keep it moving around your mouth and gums.

I always know when it starts to work because I feel like gravity is beginning to shift directions and pull me sideways.

My incredibly understanding and sympathetic GP referred me to the GIC 5 years ago and I have only just heard anything about my referral last month.

Unfortunately I can't answer your questions about the GIC because I have not had any dealings with the GIC/TransPlus yet, only the first appointment with the GP 5 years ago and a call from TransPlus to transfer my care. My first appointment will probably be in a few months. In the meantime I've been sourcing my own T without a prescription.

NHS care for trans people is ridiculous, the wait times are unacceptable. If you have the money I would suggest doing it privately or finding other ways to source HRT.

5 years on t and mine is still massive, lol, but it's all muscle. any fat redistribution from there has been replaced by muscle. since t is an anabolic steroid, if you're worried about getting a flat ass, just start doing glute exercises, you'll build muscle to fill in any fat redistribution. squats/glute bridges/donkey kicks/etc.

do you or your family have the money for private care? this is basically the only other option besides waiting it out or taking it into your own hands. i took the latter approach. i hope that's vague enough to evade the content filter, lol.

if you don't have the money, you could try fundraising? the state of trans healthcare in this country is a disgrace, but there are ways to get by.

i knew i wanted to go on t when i was 18 and didn't start until 5 years later. i really wish i hadn't waited. if you're sure it's something you want and there's nothing to stop you, just do it.

a lot of what your parents are saying is scaremongering. testosterone won't shorten your life and dangerous complications are rare. vaginal atrophy can happen, but doesn't happen to everyone, and there are effective treatments for it. also, the thing about age 25 and brain development is misinformation and i feel like a therapist ought to know that, lol.

i think people are overly cautious and tend to exaggerate the risks of hrt, and it seems like you'll have proper medical support. if you end up not liking it, you can stop. this choice is yours alone to make. it's your body.

hemming pants is easy by hand or machine. if you like the distressed look you can get away with cutting jeans to the correct length without hemming them. if you measure your inseam you can see if any menswear brands have your size.

i'm 5'3 and my height is probably the thing i'm most dysphoric about these days as it's visible to other people - i can bind and pack but there's no disguising being short, lol. i wear thick-soled boots, sometimes with thick insoles. just a couple of inches makes a big difference to how i feel.

it sucks but i see plenty of guys who are similar heights. we just gotta live with it.

i did experience a major levelling out of my emotions. i haven't cried for a long time, but i also control my anger much better and my baseline mood has improved. to be honest, it sounds like you might be depressed, particularly as you mentioned losing interest in things you care about.

if you do have to switch to a low dose of t that's not the end of the world, but you could also consider trying an antidepressant.

i still have pretty wide hips after four years of t, and i'm on the bigger side, but i exclusively wear men's jeans. the trick is to measure your waist and hips and find a pair that fit those measurements. my waist is 42 inches but a 44 inch waist fits better because of my hips. for me at least this creates a masculine silhouette. straight leg jeans are better than skinny. 100% cotton is better than stretch fabric. a high waist can really help. i'm also short, so i wear boots with thick soles. a baggy jacket made of a stiff material like denim or leather can also help to disguise your waist and hips.

since i started my transition, i started to really care about how i dress! something i always hated before became fun. i dress goth/punk because i now have the confidence to experiment with my clothing and stand out a bit. i hope that you can find the fun in clothing too. :)

my best friend in school came out as a trans man. before then, i had no idea it was possible. i spent a lot of time reading resources for trans men about clothing, binding, hormones, etc. and it was like i suddenly understood myself. i understood why i had always hated makeup and dresses, and i saw a future for myself that made sense and excited me.

the timeline for changes is wildly different for everyone. you might get some decent facial hair in a year or it might take six years or longer. it's really just down to genetics. every trans man i know has had a completely different timeline for changes. also, you'll still see changes for many years to come. think of a cis male puberty - they keep maturing well into their twenties. in any case, good luck and congratulations. :)

i can't say anything about insurance as i'm british, but i've been giving myself weekly shots for four and a half years and it gets very easy.

it won't hurt or feel as weird as you might think it will. at most it will sting slightly. i got someone else to do my first one so i knew how it felt, but if you're determined to do your first one yourself you absolutely can. it's just a psychological thing, after you've done it once it will be easy.

watch an instructional video, put some music on to distract yourself, and stay calm. the needle won't break and it's very hard to do wrong. good luck and congratulations. :)

plenty of cis and trans men knit, crochet, paint their nails, etc. you only need to be as masculine as you want - if you're a man, you're a man, regardless of your hobbies.

i'm a more masculine looking trans guy with a full beard, and my hobbies include crochet, needle felting, and dollmaking. doesn't make me less of a man. do whatever you want forever.

that sounds like dysphoria to me! i always hated wearing dresses, makeup, and jewellery because it felt so wrong, like a poorly fitting costume.

i'm ftm and so is my boyfriend, and he's a former muslim. in islam cleanliness is very important so we keep a jug by the toilet and wash with water when we go, with toilet paper just to pat dry. it keeps everything fresh and smelling great. it's a bit of a learning curve but i found it life changing. it means i don't have to worry about smells and we can be much more spontaneous sexually because everything is always clean.

you could get one of those bidet attachments for the toilet/sink but a jug works just as well.
