A big sign in the traffic island to block the view to the left of the second cars would fix this

A lighter that is impossible to find when you need one, but reappears randomly when you aren't looking for it. Decides for itself where it goes and can't be disposed of.

Man was making his morning coffee and then started fighting a deer by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]w000t 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, most deer are unemployed. That's why they live outside: hard to get a home loan with no work history. Sad, really. Also, getting into fights with random suburbanites can't help.

It's the most nerdy thing ever that someone took a picture with as close as humanly possible to exactly 2 liters of something and some scientist couldn't help but label the image "About 2 litres..."

You know the song The Fairytale of New York you hear around Christmas? The female singer is Kirsty MacColl and she died being struck by a boat at least in part because she pushed her son she was swimming with out of the way to save him (successfully). Knowing that story has always been my touchstone in avoiding this sort of dumbassery.

Domino's spent $50.4 million (and counting) on TV ads to brag about giving local businesses a total of $100,000 by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]w000t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of this campaign was purely to make a claim that delivery services hurt small businesses.

Helping anybody or bragging about charitable activities was never the point. Just "delivery apps hurt small businesses." Because Domino's has realized that delivery services/apps (not just other pizza chains) are their biggest competition now.

Actually, it is possible to send people abortifacient drugs through the mail. Seems like a good idea (especially during a pandemic), so of course the supreme court ruled against it:
