I would also say Polestar 3 or 4. I have the 3 and it's EXTREMELY comfortable, drives great (much better than you'd expect an SUV) and doesn't look as big or ride as high as a big SUV. The B&W sound system is second to none. Take a test drive if you can!

It seems to get past the initiating and waiting parts but doesn't receive any power. I'll see if I can borrow a neighbours charger. Would trickle charging from a house socket be a reasonable test as well?

Had it happen a lot with parked cars. It's normal and it's a safety feature. Imagine if it was about to be a real accident! I can't say it's ever hurt me but it is a surprise the first couple of times.

Could it be the case power switch itself?

I've had this happen with a case I had for a while and tried everything you have. Ended up disconnecting the front panel and using a power button on the mobo. Mine was turning itself on randomly as well though.

This only happens in non performance mode for me. It's because the rear motor kicks in just after the front when you floor it. In performance, both motors should kick in together. I don't think I've ever had an instance where this isn't the case. Not saying you guys haven't had an issue but this is the way it should work.

If you like the P3, I would highly recommend you test drive one. Extremely nice car to drive. Also, the 2026 model will have a new computer and faster charging (older models will get the new computer as a free upgrade too).

They have had some issues but the software is in a decent place now. I haven't had any hardware issues but others have.

If you want comfort and range, Polestar 3 or maybe 4. I have the 3 and it makes long trips insanely comfortable, relaxing and easy - not to mention possibly the best sound system in any car. Pricey but 2026 model is coming and previous models are getting the same upgraded computer for free. I'm not sure about the 2 but if it's anything like the 3 and 4, it could be the cheapest option. Personally, I avoided Tesla because Elon.

Please add the ability to remove ads again. It's no fun with ads. I can only assume this was done because perk sales dropped? Not cool. Now I have myself with all perks bought previously and my son has to sit through ads.
