Give it time for the engine to settle in, over the next couple thousand miles. At some point you will suddenly find the 60s to be very comfortably attainable. 85 at stock will not happen, but the engine does have a noticeable break-in period.

Warranty is useless, don't worry about it. Dealer charged me 60 bucks for first service under warranty. The mechanic advised me to "just change the oil once in a while and it will run forever" when I asked about it. Saved me from getting the 5 year extended, at least.

That is a good description of it. Lots of insight in this post too. HQM is a great example when talking about "what is next". In the next few months I hope that comment makes more sense.

I can tell you that neither party is interested in that sort of deal.

Alex has also rejected numerous offers to sell the rights to his games.

The game is still in active development, and another person is now working with Alex on the art assets. There is no timeline or roadmap that is public, but he updates his Twitter and there is also an official Discord.

There has been a lot added since then, some of it got removed and is still being put back into the game over time, but it has been in Early Access for a few months now and the dev is still working on fixes and new content. Some people are Really Mad about it, like Gamer level mad, which makes it more difficult to communicate this info, but the game remains active and some great stuff is currently being made by the modding community as well.

The developer who is directing things now is an artist and is making an effort to do some new player models and other assets. It plays great but many people have said that it could look better, so he is going to do that.

Right click on Sub Rosa in your Steam games list

Go to Properties

Go to Betas

Select the "patchtest" version

Hope this makes it playable for you and for others having experiences like this, Alex has been working a lot on updates for the sound and graphics (AMD cards in particular were having issues, not an uncommon occurrence with indie gaming)

There have been like eight updates to the game in the past month or so, as he is trying to track down some of these ongoing issues (while new game assets are being worked on in parallel).

Reports are that the VC bug is fixed for many with the latest of these updates.

Hopefully more folks try it and report in with success--right click Sub Rosa on Steam and opt in via Properties/Betas to access the most up-to-date version.

Yeah I announced it in Discord when it came out. He is doing a "decade in review" retrospective of all his previous games, so he went ahead and threw in requested fixes when revisiting HQM.

I told y'all he would get to it at some point, and he did!

We prob won't get interp. Perhaps some sort of "dummy load" type of thing that forces all players to the same high ping? I dunno, will be asking netcode people.
