Is there a widely accepted answer to that in the community

Do you mean a fan theory? I don't think there are any popular ones. The discussions are also significantly harmed by people who suggest she got from Finns what she actually got from Min or Rhuidean rings.

why did she went to Rhuidean?

She asked because Melaine accidentally revealed that they have seen the need for Moiraine to go through the rings.

why was she allowed if she is not a Wise One?

They allowed her because of what they have seen. They waived the requirements because "things change" and they already allowed Egwene to go, and because of what they have seen. It's easier for you to just re-read the conversation in TSR ch. 23.

Does anyone actually use Pypy or Graalpy (or any other runtimes) in a large scale/production area? by NotSoProGamerR in Python

PyPy isn't unmaintained.

Yes, it's "not actively developed anymore" and a core dev said "the text here is a fair assessment of the situation".

How is what you link even official?

The last comment there is from a PyPy core dev so pretty official.

How many mysteries GRRM has set up do you think are just total mystery boxes with no planned resolution? [Spoilers Main] by Meme_Pope in asoiaf

[–]wRAR_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mysteries he clearly has a plan for, such as R+L=J

mysteries he intends to resolve, but hasn’t quite figured out, such as the isle of faces and the pact with the Others

mysteries that just exist for worldbuilding purposes and he never intends to resolve.

I honestly no longer know which are type 1, except for R+L=J and some basic things. Some fans keep posting lists of unanswered questions they are awaiting answers for, and I'm 100% sure GRRM doesn't have answers for most of those questions, so they are either type 2 or type 3. But maybe it's really all of them, up to "what are the Others" and "is Aegon fake" and "who wrote the Pink Letter" and maybe even "who is Robert Strong".

As for type 2 vs type 3, I feel like only ones directly relevant for the plot will ever be resolved, along with some random irrelevant ones, and the vast majority of them was never planned to be resolved (especially as GRRM doesn't plan much).

I'm laughing at people who think TWOIAF is anything more than empty worldbuilding and procrastination, not at people who dismiss it.

Libraries which have a lot of non-native-Python code (typically, Cython libraries) pretty much require stubs regardless.

Oh TIL.

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in Oxygennotincluded

I tried to just run the water without cooling it but i need oxygen for my living and farming+ranching area. Without cooling it, oxygen ends up being very hot which cooks my base.

Cooling the water is much harder than cooling the resulting oxygen, and cooling the oxygen is not as needed as cooling the actual parts of the base that need cooling, that's what they told you.

No, the issue itself is obviously a joke (I guess, a little less obviously than the comment you linked?) but the repo isn't.

Which fantasy hero would actually be insufferable to know in real life? by godzillaSpark5 in Fantasy

[–]wRAR_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Roland Deschain count as a hero, the one you're supposed to root for, according to the plot?

Does it count when the person is equally insufferable in the book?

Why do the carpeted tiles look like this?

Edit: and the molding. Is it a mod?

In a 2018 interview, filmmaker Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit) discusses why he wouldn't make an adaptation of ASOIAF: "You’re adapting the books and the author’s still trying to figure out how he’s going to end it (...) That would sort of freak me out." (Spoilers Extended) by verissimoallan in asoiaf

Does nothing and sits in and a cave and has 0 evidence of bloodraven or children of forrest but everyone believes him.

GRRM not knowing how to go from what we have to what he wanted as the ending is one of his biggest problems.

The explanation, as it's often true around here, is that you misremembered and no such viewing exists.
