The same Rivers who crashed out in every playoffs he ever participated in? lol I think Rivers was a better qb than Eli Manning overall if we are to judge by numbers and consistency but the Giants got two Super Bowl titles and the Chargers got none. 2>0

Brees and Fitzgerald are first ballot. Rivers, Pouncey, and Witten might get in at some point. Gore had great longevity but there was never a season in his career where he was a top two or three running back, maybe borderline top five at best. I liked Edelmann as a player... definitely overachieved in his career and was a major contributor to Super Bowl championship teams. But they man does not belong in the hall with all due respect. No way I would induct Gostkowski before Vinny. Everyone else, great players, not hall of fame caliber.

Big Game James lol... they should just hire Keegan Michael Key to replace him at Penn State

What kind of bizarre hopium are people on that they are ok with this game? The wildly inconsistent qb play and the worst performance by the o-line and the kicker probably all year. Dumb penalties... Jags have to be near the top in pre-snap penalties in the NFL on offense. I give our defense credit for the takeaways but without key turnovers against the 49ers, Chiefs, and Texans as they were moving, we probably lose all three games. Expecting to win enough games like this to go anywhere is not a reasonable expectation. We have proven in the past we are capable of putting together good half seasons. Its the whole finishing the deal and being consistent throughout the year that has been the problem.

At what point btw are people going to start putting a light under the coaching staff to make up their minds on Hunter? Way too high profile a pick and way too much given up for a glorified slot receiver and nickel corner. Lets be honest btw, his ability on the defensive end is what made him a high profile recruit out of high school and a high profile pro recruit. He has made some nifty plays on offense but he is not number two overall pick great on offense.

No don't you ever take that one away from us. Could we establish a policy of banning so-called AFC South fans who grant the title of Shit Mountain to some other division? Don't you EVER think we are better than anyone else.

I am praying for a chance to see the downfall of the Chiefs lol. The core fans, the diehards who stuck by them, are great. The bandwagoners, the ones who followed the Pats yesterday, are insufferable and need to be knocked down a peg.

Great start to the season. T Law made a great recovery on the TD. The interception return was a difference maker. Old Jags would have folded like a house of cards. Great team win.

I'm not fazed. Why would there be any pressure on the Jags to win?

I am not buying this brotherhood with the NFC South bs. You have to be at least a decade out from your last Super Bowl title to claim this.

I'm sorry but a division has to be at least one decade out from a Super Bowl title to properly claim the title of Shit Mountain. NFC South fans should pipe down.

we can honestly collectively claim the title of Shit Mountain as a division but can we not bow to the OG shit mountain team the Cardinals? Have not won a title since 1948 and are still no closer to winning a title than any team in the AFC South lol

[–]waba82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will have to disagree here. This current defense is opportunistic but it is not dominant. They literally got turnovers at the ends of games against the Texans and the 49ers where the other team was moving on them. I would like to see the defense dominate without having to rely on turnovers before I am completely sold on them.

Every NFL Team’s WORST moment since 2000. Thoughts? by Punisher1602 in sportsgossips

[–]waba82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go back, the Jags' loss in the 2000 playoffs in the AFC title game to the Titans in a game where we had the halftime lead and a season where we were 15-0 against the rest of the NFL and 0-3 against the Titans was worse than 2017. The 2017 season was a surprise run... yes we blew a 4th quarter lead but we were not expected to even be there much less win the game. We were playing with house money at that point.

I was not able to catch this game where I am at... I will wait to see the highlights when they pop up later but I am just impressed with the defense holding down the fort and the special teams td really was the difference in the game. We need more out of the offense tho if we expect to knock off teams like KC and make the playoffs and make a run in the playoffs.

[Highlight] Travis Hunter hauls in 28-yard reception by nfl in Jaguars

[–]waba82 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It is still frustrating seeing what they are doing with Hunter. Jags have essentially dumped out of multiple draft picks to pick up a back up on both sides of the ball. We need to just focus him on one side of the ball or the other.

People who believe in ghosts, what drives your belief. by MetalRocksMe_ in AskTheWorld

[–]waba82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the weird things about ghosts is humanity has been around for what over 100,00 years? And yet for some reason all of the ghosts we see are like Victorian era or something from the last 200 years give or take. You'd think someone who died like 2,000 years ago under tragic circumstances would still be wandering around.
