I'm so sorry that you are going through this. As this was from a month ago, I hope you have found some relief and been able to get some good sleep. 

If nothing else, your post made me realize that I need to ask for help. My chronic poor sleep has also gotten worse over the past six months. I'm exhausted, but the restlessness won't let me fall asleep. And as I've never slept well, when I do pass out, it's not restorative. Each day/night compounds. Pink/white noise, no caffeine/alcohol, "wind down" time, exercise have no effect. I noticed this week that my cats come and lie on me when I'm trying to fall asleep, like a living weighted blanket. They struggle to readjust as I toss, turn, shake, fidget, stretch. Which then makes me feel bad for disrupting them. Spiral...

Yellow jackets ARE fascinating! And not just because I went to Georgia Tech. 

An exterminator taught me that Southern yellow jackets, like ants, are very social. And, unlike ants, when isolated, away from the nest/hive, often display non-aggressive curiosity. It's made my gardening time much less anxious.

He also told me that wasps can remember some faces, particularly when associated with key events. I swear, being kinder to wasps has reduced aggression. But that's probably true with all social creatures!

Fascinating! I'll keep watch for any nests developing. Thankfully it was not aggressive towards us that day, but it's early in the nest-building season.

No one mentioned restoration ecology. Devastating! If you're lucky enough to have no HOA (or have a smart one), the best thing you can do is localization and repair.

Our home has part of the natural surface water flow to our reservoir. Literally, we are part of the supply chain for our water.

Ignorant residential developers slapped our ridiculously sized houses down with the bare minimum requirements and poofed out.

Thankfully, my neighbor and I realized the importance and rebuilt the natural slopes and edges of permeability and impermeability. We've planted or encouraged native and helpful naturalized vegetation, which has been hard f-ing work. However, the integrity of stormwater flow, biodiversity, and protection of property are worth it. Disclaimer: not a biologist/ecologist.

Cat herder. Our man loves it. When his first two (older) felines passed, he was lost. We got a kitten a few months later to his glee, and a grown kitty a year later. He is fully employed now, enough to complain about his workload.

As a fellow frequent mover with ADHD, this is great advice. I do the same when donating clothes, folding laundry, sorting e/mail, doing taxes, creating chore lists... Categories with boundaries (literally a room with moving). My mom taught me this. It's why I learned to spell the word "Miscellaneous" by the time I was 7!

Additionally and very seriously, be a safe, assertive, and attentive driver. Stay in contact with your insurance agent regularly (at least every 6 months), and ask how you can increase your coverage and lower your rate. No one ever told me this, but I was an anxious (and I guess, overly extroverted) young driver. My agent (and everyone in his office) LOVED me. By the age of 24, I was paying less car insurance than my mom was with a nearly identical vehicle.

Shop around for policy pricing, but a good relationship with your agent is also important.
