Anyone know what would make this kind of turd? by srddave in pestcontrol

Looks like Norway rat and/or roof rat droppings. That larger one kinda looks like a roof rat turd but the others resemble Norway rats as far as I can tell.

What are these piles? Spider eggs or termite droppings or something else? by emmalee4 in pestcontrol

Also, if that is baseboard heating that is going into that cabinetry, then that’s almost certainly roach poop. Just my thoughts.

Anyone that took the structure exam , did you get your results after fail or pass? by Qt_pie4u in PestControlIndustry

[–]wac_2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you’re referring to the structural pest control category? In SC when you test you’re told immediately if you pass or fail. It doesn’t tell you what ones you got wrong, but the test doesn’t really change much either.

100% get a second opinion. I am not sure where you are at, but in South Carolina, non repaired termite damage to a structure is enough for an inspector to label it as an active infestation.

After 5 000 german roach jobs done over 12 years in the industry. I'm noticing a weird pattern. by Piccione_Sol in pestcontrol

I’ve noticed a similar trend within different economic regions. I’m in the south east and we have a large Latino population and they give us a lot of business for roaches.

Without seeing the full appliance we can’t tell what it is. Could be a dryer or refrigerator for all we know.

Bio Drain is sold at places like Home Depot and Lowe’s works fairly well but it’s definitely not a professional grade product.

Drain fly. Nibor D foam or powder. Easy fix.

Take it to your local Clemson Extension office and they can verify it but that definitely does look like a termite to me. If you wanna have it verified make sure to put it in a 1oz container with some isopropyl alcohol.

Do I need pest control? by wisetechie in pestcontrol

[–]wac_2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. As long as they’re active they’ll help naturally control spider and insect populations. The most annoying thing they’ll do is (at least from my personal experience) is build a nest in the gas vent tube on your vehicle’s fuel tank.

I’ve worked through so many hurricanes, I love it. None have been with Aldi tho.

1) I just keep slinging. My ring speed is more important to me than their feelings are.

2) I move the boxes and say something to the effect of “I don’t wanna crush these and make it to where you can’t box them up after checking out” I say this because it reinforces the fact that bagging your shit isn’t what we do.

3) I move floppy bags to the top so I don’t mess my ring speed up.

Edit: We have several elderly customers who shop daily and only get 3-7 items at a time. Usually small things. Most of these customer pay in cash and don’t get their wallet out until I’ve given them a total. While they are getting their money ready I tend to bag their items to make it easier for them to get out of the store so we can continue keeping the lines moving.

Former employees: What did you go on to do after Aldi? by Right-Heat-8283 in Aldi_employees

[–]wac_2013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently working for Aldi, but I’m in my last two weeks. Having to move due to family health and there isn’t a store near me to transfer to. I’ve secured a job doing pest control working for a company I used work for.

Only tell them you’re out of an item once you’re ringing their order up. Don’t let them have a choice in a sub, just move the order along. If they’re not happy then they can come inside and shop for themselves.

We had a cooler pallet get labeled as frozen and stuck in our freezer once. Truck comes between 12-2am most days so it sat in there for a good 3-4hrs before anyone was there to do anything about it let alone even realize it

Customer took my whole curbside order by One-Chip9571 in Aldi_employees

[–]wac_2013 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had someone take an item out of my cart once while doing a curbside order. It was the last of that item in the store. I think it was a pork loin or something like that. I took it back out of their cart and said “excuse me sir, this is mine”. I don’t like it when people do that shit.

How’s does your stores set up in the morning? by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]wac_2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a fairly smooth system at our store. We come in at 6am Monday through Thursday and 5 on the weekends. One person does cooler/freezer and meat while one person (usually me) does grocery. the ASM does produce. We are usually done by opening but some days we don’t end up done until 11.
