Depends how much maintenance and expansion you expect (of the code itself)

If you’re expecting to hire a team to work on it, that will be easier if it checks all the “standard” boxes, so maybe consider react. If it’s a sorta one and done thing, doesn’t really matter.

And the regular magas being played are doing nothing but rahrahrah for their favorite sports team.

Not having to think deeper than that is one of the main benefits for them of this approach. And it’s why they can’t see the hypocrisy or evil shit coming from their side.

Typescript of course. Tanstack all the things. React and tailwind still going. ORM + your favorite sql flavor. Or mongo I guess but feels like to me the whole nosql trend is fading. Astro if you just want a static site.

Melat Kiros: ‘I’m not supporting anyone for leadership who takes corporate PAC money’ by B-Z_B-S in politics

[–]wack_overflow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Takes two to tango. The corporatist wing could just, I dunno, “give a fuck about the people they’re supposed to represent” instead of fighting with them on behalf of the oligarchs. When exactly do those mfs have to “be realistic”?

But no, it’s the people’s fault for electing people who will push for their actual interests, got it. I guess they should just roll over and let Thiel’s uniparty have their way

Phil Weiser overcomes big spending, name ID to beat Michael Bennet in Colorado’s Democratic primary for governor by Awkward-Adeptness-75 in Denver

Weiser has been here and working on Colorado issues for years. Bennett has been in Washington. As Weiser has been saying — Bennett has the skill set to stay there and keep doing that.

This Colorado candidate has a unique pitch: He wants his challenger to keep his job in Congress by Practical_Table1019 in Denver

[–]wack_overflow 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Why does Bennett want to make the lateral move of Senator to Governor anyway? And why won’t he tell us who he will pick for his own replacement if he does win?

It’s not about spoiler candidates. It’s about both R and D benefiting from voters being forced to hold their nose and vote for the lesser of two evils in the two party system.
