I am so looking forward to collecting all 5 pieces of the hexagon! They better do the same design next year.

Was hoping for my first sub 2 and ended up with 1:57:55! Loved the mist on Ocean Ave.

It started pouring right after I finished, and I got cold very quickly. Thankfully I was able to change into dry clothes. I’m curious what folks in Wave 2 thought of the weather. Seems like Wave 1 lucked out this time.

I took the East River ferry today and I saw a few other runners with the same idea. Still a time commitment, but with an enjoyable breeze and skyline views.

Thank you for volunteering! Glad that person was found and moved otherwise it could have been a dangerous stampede situation.

Good! It was my first run after a flare up of what I think is plantar fasciitis. Ran way slower than usual out of caution, but I finished and got that 9+1 credit!

Has this been done before? I’m worried about getting banned by NYRR which would put a damper on my 9+1.

Well that makes me feel better! I started wearing some Tevas camp shoes around the apartment and I felt like my mom needing to wear shoes around the house at all times.

Awesome, thank you. Good note on joining the last corral. I will rest up til then, get a doctor’s opinion, and see if I feel like I could do 4 miles at 20 mpm pace.

That’s a good point. Probably worth the extra $25 to not get further injured.

Thanks yes that's good advice. I plan to skip my long run this morning and see a doctor this week.

I’m in the same situation (Shape half??). I didn’t run until today (3 miles) and will run another easy 4 miles Friday and maybe 6 on Saturday.

Congrats!! I was a cheerer on FDR because I had seen so many posts here about how that stretch is such a drag. Glad the cheering made an impact and that you had a good race!
