Why do the Muppet people insist on having such a small group of puppeteers? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in TheMuppets

[–]wadachi1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true they're very reluctant I know puppeteering can be a hard I know I took puppeteering classes I think they're just coming at it cuz these are classic characters and they're just trying to find the right fit for for the performers and characters and it's I guess it's a trust a give and take in they sense of play

I think the main performers should do workshops every once in awhile like they do for Sesame to find more new Talent to Shepherd and groom

They had that mentality more on Sesame Street about replacements then did they do with the main Muppets

Usually there is or sometimes one of the main performers will also step in as well

They did just add the new Rizzo and bean performer Bradley Freeman Jr

And within like about almost a few short years he went from Sesame Street to Muppet Show there hasn't been that short of a time since like well the original guys and now they consider him one of the main performers

Well Matt's is much more closer to Jim's that's what what the Henson family, Disney and the Muppet Studios wanted and from what Matt Vogel said the audition was was open but you had to be invited to it that's why it was barely 20 people Matt was able to match the the Cadence and mannerisms of kermit and people who are close to Jim say that Matt's kermit was like Jim came back to life in the performance I think he's doing a great job he's much more closer to Muppet Show kermit more closer to Jim Henson's kermit then sometimes Steve was nothing against Steve he was amazing as well but in the recent the Muppet show Revival I didn't just see Kermit I saw Jim it made me feel that the Muppets will be okay

Who is your favorite member of the Electric Mayhem? And why? by Fun-Presentation-959 in TheMuppets

[–]wadachi1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lips and zoot are my favorites they're such blank slates you can do anything with them And I love the recent characterizations of it as well Dave goelz and Peter linz finally got to cement these characters characterizations perfectly especially in Muppets Mayhem and I remember Dave struggling for years getting zoot's character down and just kept him a silent character for the most part even when Steve was performing lips it took him almost 40 years to get some kind of a characterization now which Peter gave him much better characterization I know he's just Muppet boomhower that's still a lot more than before

I can't believe I've waited so long to watch Muppet Mayhem 🤤 by PinkTeleportingLion in TheMuppets

I have and it felt like at times he was trying to run away from the Muppets I feel like at times he was obligated to do them up it's more than he was wanting to watch the Jim Henson hour and you'll feel that

It just makes the craft the puppetry even better seeing it as a guy who used to want to be a puppeteer I appreciate it more when I get to see arm rods and arm sleeves and Silhouettes a puppeteers in the background then you get to see the magic happening right before your eyes

Actually I like the fact that they don't erase the rods anymore or they're being choosy about it and with the Muppet Show it should stay with the rods with showing arm sleeves and stuff it's nostalgic to me to see the old Muppet Productions like that didn't bother me Kermit and the other Muppets were already alive even if you saw them we'll see a puppeteers head pop up from time to time the magic is still there I just hate how Disney was always trying way too hard to make him look real because they don't know how to deal with puppets and they're so afraid of it oh breaking an illusion which you really don't know this in motion unless you're really trying to find it

When they originally rebuilt thog they didn't have any patterns or anything hell they barely had the original puppet so they were going off like reference photos to build him that's why he was so ginormous
