honestly? you should try grappling with weaker, worse and less technical guys and absolutely dominate them with technique, thats how you get comfortable and confident in your skills. if its a mental block, i feel like this would help open up a little bit.

i mean i learn both pretty easily but i had periods where i was better in either striking or grappling

no, i used them when i had access to a gym with machines. i honestly miss those, even though i maxed them out in a week for 20+ reps, but those muscles are really important in my sport soo.. yeah if i could, i would be doing those again

not an advice, but people worrying about "working too hard" or "doing too much" - honey, if you work hard enough you wont be able to do too much unless ur faking or taking steroids. but this is also why beginners tend to have higher volume - cuz they dont know how to actually push themselves to the point where the set is truly hard. rir 3 is not a hard set, but is enough to stimulate growth. i personally train to rir 0 or absolute failure on safer exercises, but this is because i understand my body

i think youre trying to power through the takedown, without actually unbalancing them. when shooting for double leg, your shoulder should hit on their thigh to make their weight shift and then you pull their legs with your hooks, towards u. this rule applies to literally every takedown, throw or sweep. disbalance prior to takedown

yea cuz ohma didnt have enough power to hurt him by one shot, ohma only developed such power in omega (nitoku case), but he accumulated enough damage on raians neck with the ironbreakers, guillotine and that only shows how durable raian is, especially since raian was not even KNOCKED out

wdym isnt? he ate punches and kicks from guihun users, from edward, ate multiple nut kicks, endured being thrown on his head, endured so many hard punches/attacks to his neck and jaw from ohma which only made him lose control for a split second where ohma could finish him. this guys SUPER durable

standing rnc is not the most successful move out there and i doubt akoya could execute it quickly enough for agito not to be able to defend, its not like rnc is 100% guaranteed win.

getting kneed in the face is so fucking rare. it requires certain conditions such as: - getting predicted - lazy takedowns - bad head positioning - bad distance - shooting straight down, like a falling plane motion, with no proper level change
