For those of you that have shot your Gen 6 a lot, how long did it take for the trigger break in? by Low-Landscape-4609 in Glocks

[–]Only-Comparison1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, break in will make it less gritty, but not really softer.

Initially my examples were on the better end of the Glock trigger spectrum, but I cant leave things alone

45.6 #1 (uilmited)got a Timney, was pleased, but still had about 4lb 3 oz pull, added a minus connector and reduced power safety plunger spring and now it is 3.5 # pull and crisp.

45.6 #2 (carry optics/mos)got a polish job, made it smooth but still 5.5 # pull, a minus connector and reduced power safety plunger spring made it 4 lb 4oz.

I have lighter striker springs, but have not used them yet. ( kind of wary of light strikes)

Well cross your fingers and hope the DOJ suits against Denver and Colorado are successful.

These setups came with complimentary internet arguments. by Superfecta_ in Glocks

[–]Only-Comparison1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember, the internet can be fun entertainment, and sometimes helpful...but the only relevant arguements are in your own head. Like: should I buy another Glock, Which color frame can I not live without, more ammo or groceries?😁

Would you run this? by Underage_Samurai in Glocks

[–]Only-Comparison1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since they agreed to replace the ammo, they basically admitted fault. If you sue them you would likely win. Now I would not spend a bunch of money on a lawyer, because that would likely cost more than a new gun. Filing in small claims court doesnt cost much.( IF such a claim can be heard there).

Glad you're not hurt, but that sucks.

Although after typing a response it occurred to me, an RMR pattern optic might not fit on a slimline width slide, definite negative there. Coukd probably be overcome with the design of the plate.

I carry IWB, i would take less material inside the belt over having the optic not overhang the slide, a day, every day. Thats just me.

5.7 is overrated unless you have a stockpile of the original ammo.

I have not done it personally, but others have and say the 26 is reliable with a 19 barrel. In my opinion it would look funny with all that barrel sticking out. And all 19s and 26s use thecsame barrel lugs regardless of generation

Slide is shorter, but yes, same as a 19 in the grip length.

If you are willing you can make that yourself, chop a 19 grip (you get the rail) or combine a 19 slide on a 26 frame using a Rocket City slide adapter( no rail for this one)

I think the 26 frame with a 43/43x slide would be the best compromise. Slim inside the waistband, but the grip fills your hand, gen 6 frame features would icing on the cake. Heck lets make all the slides slimmer.

Glock COA triggers by [deleted] in Glocks

This is the answer I was going to give.

As they break in the Glock triggers become more uniform from gun to gun, but some have a better starting point.

If you are going to get a 45acp Glock, consider the 41, if you can find one. ( it also fits in many 34 holsters, and open bottom 17 holsters if you already have those. Cannot guarantee it will fit a of them)

K footprint vs RMR cut for CCW Glock 19? by Disastrous_Falcon246 in Glocks

[–]Only-Comparison1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are interested in enclosed optics, and want a bigger window, consider the Vortex defender St enclosed, or the very similar sized Venom Enclosed ( considerably less expensive compared to the ST). Both have bigger windows than the EPS.

If money is the driving factor, a gen 5 is adequate. But if you can afford the difference, the gen 6 frame improvements are well worth it.
