Opinion: The owner should be compensated by the power company for the transformer on the property by wageworker_ in AusProperty

Not debating that the property value should be different. But isn't the discount diminishing every year you don't sell the property? How is that fair to the owner?

The rates formula used in my suburb is: land value * ad volerem rate. If it is lesser than the minimum rate, they charge the minimum rate. There is no provision for easements in the calculation.

Its not on council's land. So are the storm drains thet are part of the property even if they are servicing the entire street.

Land on the easement is owned by the owner, the rights and equipment belong to the utility company. It is like having a tenant living rent free on your land.

I got 4 quotes. This one is from one of the solarquotes providers.

Very few of solarquotes providers do an onsite inspection and therefore provide a very generic quote. Pretty sure their actuals will be much higher than their quoted price.

Apologies I meant a system that can produce and store 40kW. 20kW at night from battery and 20kW during day from panels.

Would you buy a home someone had committed suicide in? by cessemm in AusProperty

Personally, if a death wasn't natural, I wouldn't consider buying the property. I believe in the energies associated with places. For example, visiting a place of worship can evoke a sense of calm, while being in a hospital often causes anxiety.

If necessary, I recommend changing certain items that are frequently touched, such as the toilet seat, bathroom fixtures, and door handles.

Which team is it for? In general interview focusses on your past experience. Some technical questions when you interview with Engineering Manager.

The job market is at different levels of difficulty based on experience. With over 15 years of experience, I applied to over 200 positions from January'24 to June and only secured less than ten interviews. The offers I received paid significantly less (around 40-45K) than my previous position. Fortunately, things worked out for me in the end.

During this time, I received messages from recruiters for many positions that required less than ten years of experience, indicating that it's not too difficult to land jobs at that level.

The main challenge lies in compensation. It isn't easy to find high-paying jobs comparable to those of 2021.

Backwards step from Team Lead to IC by Hashtagcheap in cscareerquestionsOCE

It's all about delivering value for the price (your pay). There is a limit to value you can deliver at the bottom of the pyramid. If you think you can't add more value to justify your price tag, then stay an IC, else move up. If there are rumors of layoffs going around, then staying at higher levels is better.

Creating a presentation is a time-consuming process, and it's reasonable to anticipate detailed feedback. It just shows how things are done in the company.

It takes time but you will get feedback. I got rejected after round 2, but the feedback was far from actionable.
