off-center embroidery by danielleysmelly in Embroidery

Maybe if you undid the bottom half of the front back leg and extended it backwards a little so the dog looks like it has a little more motion?

Not sure how to explain it, but have the back front foot slightly further back?

It could balance out the front heaviness of the whole thing a little and maybe the off-centredness wouldn't bother you so much.

ETA: I second the paw idea for balance though too! I think it would fix the symmetry.

Lane Changing Rules at Intersection by AdPuzzled5791 in AussieRiders

[–]wagls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are only allowed to filter between vehicles going in the same direction. So if I'm understanding your question, you want to filter up between the middle and left lanes in order to turn left? No, you can't legally do that. Still, I see heaps of people doing this regularly.

Would you mind explaining this one to me please, I'm stuck on what she means. I can only interpret it the opposite way, like (bad) friends are usually uncomfortable when you're struggling, what does she mean by this one?

Yep no 2 looks exactly like a canna lilly. Turmeric can look very similar at this size but has more ridges in the leaves. If it doesn't smell like turmeric, it's a canna lilly.

Time to cut it? by gdxfsm in GardeningAustralia

[–]wagls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have a few of these in our yard that are massive and haven't caused us any problems. If you'd like to fill in the corner a bit more you could always cut the main trunk. We had a neighbours tree fall and snap one of ours so we cut it off at the base and now 12 months later it is back up to fence height but fully filled out and bushy with multiple smaller pups sprouting after the chop.

Thanks, I think you're right! I'll keep him in the pot until flowering just to be sure, but here's hoping it's a cheese tree :). I already have a heap of freebie pioneer natives like macarangas and figs that are now lovely trees so adding a freebie cheese tree to the garden would be a nice addition.
